Haven’t had a bit of problems with the charger. But I would highly recommend that you get an electrician to at least install a 20 amp circuit in your garage because the charger goes up to 16 amps. That way the charger will stay comfortably within the 80% rule.

This charger is perfectly matched to the old 3.3kW charger equipped Nissan Leaf to allow speedy charging. We carry it in our 6.6kW charger Leaf, along with a 14-50 to 6-20 adapter.. so if we do find a 240V outlet, we will see more than 3x as fast charging (3.8kW on 240V 18A, vs 1.2kW on 120V). This 3x improvement in charging speed when you use L2 is why this replaced the OEM charge cord. Decent quality and a good value; we will see if it stands the test of time like the OEM adapter did.

I tested out this unit and found that it charged fine, but was charging at 8 amps using the 120v adapter. I attempted to push and push-and-hold the "A" button to change the amperage, but the amperage wasn't changing. It's possible this unit is just defective, but this the primary reason for it being 2 stars. Other than this, the long cable is a true selling point for this item. Many other units have shorter thick cables that go from the charging device/regulator to the car, but this one has about 24 feet of cable from the adapter to the car. This is one reason why it's 2 stars instead of 1 star.

Works great as a travel or backup charger. The 25-foot cable is long enough to reach across the garage, and the adapter lets you charge from standard outlets when needed. I like the adjustable amperage, though you'll need to set it before plugging into the car. It’s not fast, but it’s consistent and the build feels solid. Just don’t expect Level 2 speeds—this is more for convenience and emergencies.

Recently purchased a new EV (Ford Mustang Mach-E). Not my first EV though, and dealt with various home chargers before, both Level 1 and Level 2. I have a level 2 charger that provides a 48Amp 220V connection for my regular charging needs, and if you're new to the EV thing and looking for regular home charging solution, you'd be best served to try and get one installed. However, understanding that not everyone's situation allows for a Level 2 charger, you may just have access to a common 120V 15 or 20amp outlet. Otherwise, you may be like me and while having a level 2 charger, want something that is portable and can be used on-the-go when traveling, or in more of an emergency situation. That's what I was looking for...something to keep in the frunk, that is always available and can be plugged into any outlet if needed. This definitely accomplishes that and with some nice adaptability as well. As other reviews have noted, it has a 6-20/220V plug as the standard, but it also includes small pigtail adapter to plug into common 120V outlet. The 6-20/220V is fine I guess, but in reality, you're probably pretty unlikely to encounter a situation where you'll end up using this as it's not very common to find nearby most parking spots. So you'll probably be reaching for the 120 adapters. The charger is nice that it can be adjusted via simple button to allow for 8amp-16amp charging. I'd say 15amp circuits are the more common out there, so you'll probably need to keep it closer to 10amps to be safe, depending on what else is on that circuit. Otherwise, you may start popping breakers. This is not any issue with the charger itself, just something to be aware of. The charger comes in two standards, the NACS (Tesla) version, or J1772/CCS standard. I ordered the J1772 and in testing with the Mach-E, it worked great and exactly as expected. It comes with a nice length of 25ft cord that allows for a good reach from outlet, and locked smoothly into the charge port. It immediately paired with the car and began charging at the exact Amp setting I specified with button. The one thing to be aware of is that you have to set the amp setting after plugging into the wall, but before plugging into the EV. Once it's plugged into EV, the setting locks out until unplugged. Otherwise, it includes a nice storage bag, and was able to coil it up to a reasonable footprint, given the 25ft of cord it has. For the price and ability to adjust amperage on it, I think its a very good value.

Very nice little charger. Cable is plenty long to reach anywhere I need to go. Comes in a nice carry case. I don’t have the plug that it comes with but it has an adapter to go to a normal 110 outlet. Works but is t the fastest ranged from .35kwh to .55kwh which is around 1 mile per hour. Better than nothing but I’m sure it would charge quicker if I had the outlet it comes with. As for construction honestly it feels better than the charger that came with my truck. If you need a charger this will def fit the bill

This charger is on the slow side, but.... and this is pretty important.... the specs are exactly what's in the listing. That checks out. The charger does get warm after left charging for a long time (which goes back to the slow charging time), but the materials used to a great job of heat dissipation. I just recommend keeping a close eye on it. The cord length is excellent. It is easy to store and take with you on the road. The plug is a nice, secure fit. Overall, it is exactly as advertised.
