I got this because I got a used EV that didn't come with a level 1 charger. I wanted both a charger where I didn't have to mess with settings in the car to make sure I wasn't trying to pull too many amps from a regular 15amp circuit and one that I could grow with if level 1 charging wasn't enough and I needed to add a 20amp circuit for level 2 charging. I was hoping I could connect to the device with simple bluetooth, I don't know if putting it on wifi is risky or not but it feels like it and doesn't really tell me much that my car's app doesn't already. But the ability to control the amperage is very appreciated, as is the long cord.

Hooked up to my nema 6-30 plug easily and runs like a Champ at 16amps delivers consistent 3.8 kwh over 9+ hours no overheating, no slowdowns. Clicked right into my Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 v4 and had perfect handshake. Great low level 2 charger. Excellent performance at this price point.

The cord itself is pretty think and seems durable but not much could be gathered from my one sample. It also an app and it’s relatively easy to use, just plug in to outlet and then your car. The app allows tracking of power being used. The one hour sample was enough to have me hire someone to install a level 2 charger in my garage. I’m sure this cord could work but the use case for me isn’t there. Level 1 charging a 77kwh battery would take 77 hours from empty to full….thats just too slow.

Super cool charger. Unfortunately, I'm not experienced with electric vehicles and changing. So I did not realize how slow 3 or less kwh really are. This charger and it's app work really well if you don't mind a 24 hour charge time, but I don't have the time to wait. I bought a 6kwh charger from this same company, so I'm hoping that it solves the issue. Great quality item, just slower than I anticipated.
