The charger that I got with my 2024 lease-return EV9, did not seem to work, at least not in a regular household outlet. This one seems well made and works with no muss, no fuss, plug & play. I appreciate that it can serve as a Level 1 OR Level 2 connection, but I am using it solely as a Level 1 right now. Works great! Nice long cord, a bit longer than some other comparable models.

Incredibly easy to set up and use. Great app with an easy and intuitive interface. The ability to stop and start a charge from my phone is nice, and the screen on the charger itself displays a good amount of useful information. Way better than the Chevrolet charger. Love that it came with cable organizers, a compact carry case, a 220-V adapter, and a silicon cap for the plug head itself.

Revised review: The vendor worked with me diligently to address an issue I had that was admittedly not entirely the fault of the product itself. The charger is working well, and for me, a big bonus, is holding up well even when rained upon. For the long term, this seems like a good sign. Meanwhile, I am figuring out a "hood" type thing that I can place around the nozzle so it doesn't get direct water during rainy days. Anyway, I do appreciate the proactive support from these folks - it speaks well of the product too.... I bought this one because it had a higher IPS rating...which is nice. And it works and all...but, there's not a lot of insulation around the nozzle itself. Second time I used it, it got rained on a bit. The charger was ok and survived, but water got in the nozzle area - which has happened 4 or 5 times in the past with other charger - but it totally wiped out the car itself! Door locks, nada...had to call AAA for a jump start. This will happen again in all likelihood, so outdoor users in rainy areas should probably check out the competition.

I need one that can adjust in real-time to work with my solder power. Pro: 1. Use BT or Wifi so I can control the power output remotely. 2. Be able to adjust the power based on need to minimize the PG&E bills. 3. Can adjust from 6-12 Amps, in steps of 1 Amp. Con: 1. The output current/power calculated is not accurate, but acceptable. Checked with Kill-A-Watt and EV reading. 2. No option to set the current time in a schedule in the app. I need to check the current setting before the schedule starts. Others' thoughts, not sure why my 2022 pachy is unable to enter the charge mode if the current is lower than 9 Amps. I need to set it to 10 Amps first, then adjust to 9 Amps. Lower than 9 is not working on my car. Have not tried the level 2 because the Current is limited to 12A in the app (I thought it could go up to 16A on a 20A wall plug)

The 16A EV Charger by SEGUMA, is well-made, solid performing charger if you’re looking for a great value and don’t have to charge in a hurry. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and a few things to consider before buying. I. Quality – The charger looks and feels like a well-made charger, with thick cables and a strong build. I was really surprised at how nice of quality this one offers. I’ve seen a ton of EV chargers and this one caught my attention, by providing a lot of value currently. It also comes with a nice travel bags for one that’s included with the EV charger. I’d put the overall quality in the lower side of the upper tier of the quality scale for at home EV chargers and guess that it should hold up well over time. II. Performance – It’s important to consider that charging at 16A is painfully slow and would not be sufficient for some people that need to charge relatively fast with less than 24 hour turnarounds. If I run my Tesla below 20% battery, it’ll take more than 24 hours to charge it back up. That being said, this one has worked great in many ways, with power up to 16A and 5 levels of power to choose between. It comes with a NEMA 6-20 plug that has one prong sideways, but also has the 5-15 adapter that will fit standard US outlets. The screen is nice to have, providing helpful information, such as time, current, voltage, power used and temperature. It has multiple safety features, timer and adjustable current. The 25-foot cable is on the longer side of what’s available and great to have if you can’t park next to the outlet. Overall, this is a fantastic option for people that drive less or if your car can only handle 16A charges. It offers notable quality, great value, convenience and all the basic features needed. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. If you’d find it helpful to see a visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen or landscape. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video! You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product.
