This unit is perfect for my 79 year old husband who had bilateral knee replacement 6 weeks ago & needs to strengthen muscles. It's perfect for me for circulation/strengthening legs as well. The item is just as described. Shipped quickly - received in less than a week. Well packaged and no complaints about the product or process to receive. I did a LOT of searching/reading reviews before deciding upon this. It paid off as this is exactly what we wanted. It's great to be able to have the option between using electric power or using it manually without. It comes with a manual that even has suggestions for different "workouts". Nothing to assemble except putting the power cord on and putting batteries (not included - 2 of AAA) into the remote. This unit isn't super heavy. Easy to pick up and move. Looks like expensive equipment. Very well made, easy to work. Quiet - just a soft purring sound. Perfect to use while watching TV, reading, visiting with others.     • This machine has a grinding noise.
From the start the left peddle had a grinding noise. I thought it would go away after use, but it finally got to me. I did a "chat" with Amazon and they were very good. They are sending a replacement and I am sending the noisy one back. This would not be good for using in an office or other place where you do not want noise. I sure hope the new one they are sending is much more quieter or we will try a different machine altogether. ... show more

I purchased this as a gift for my mother who has a desk job. Her circulation isn't doing too well, so I got this for her. She uses it daily and says it has helped tremendously. It came out of the box, and she was able to get it working on her. Easy to assemble and use.

I needed something to use under my desk for after my knee replacement. This product works great and is very quiet. It does slip on floors without carpeting so I did purchase a non-slip mat which works great.
