  • Better than expected for cheap DIY furniture
Color: Rustic Oak Size: 52 Inch Style: TV Stand
Goods: -The back panel is in multiple pieces retained by rabbits and screw in retainer clips. It is much sturdier than the cardboard backer you get on most furniture that just nails to the back -The panels seem to be particle board laminated on an MDF core which means the screws should hold better and be less liable to strip out. -Easy to assemble- the structure is largely held together by your standard mix of dowels and half turn retainers with matching screw anchors that anyone who's built something like this will be familiar with. A couple pieces actually use large bolts which should provide a lot of strength, though they are used in places where that strength is fairly inconsequential. -Adequately strong shelves with adjustable shelving pins on all three shelves -sliding door hardware and tracks are decent quality and keep the doors in line nicely -Well packaged with particle board ends and thick cardboard wall protectors ensured no damage to the product in transit despite visible damage to box Others: -Theres a floating cross support in the middle back panel. Not sure why it isn't just one piece unless it was due to packaging limitations but there should have been consideration for having this piece secure to the inner walls with hardware. -Only one hole for cables on the lower middle section and no holes in the rear panel of the sides behind the sliding doors meaning you're either going to have to reserve electronics for the main cavity and top level or drill your own -the only hole in the central cavity is at the very top and the middle shelf has no hole for routing cables up from the bottom. You can snake the cables behind the shelf but this puts stress on the back which has the aformentioned floating support making this a weak spot. While the lack of holes for cords gives the back a cleaner look without anything inside, it means there's a mess of cables coming up the back of the central cavity behind the shelf negating this advantage. If I had designed it, each cavity would have holes for cords in an inconspicuous location and there would also be a hole top and bottom in the central cavity. -the cover up stickers don't match the finish very well, though this is barely noticeable on the finished product since they are largely out of sight. -dowel holes are fairly loose, but this doesn't affect structural stability. Also it says to glue the pin in on both side in the directions. This won't buy you much if anything aside from an inability to disassemble it without damaging the piece should you have to move. Glue them in on one side only, you'll be fine. Bottom line, great quality for the price, cable management solutions are not great without modification. Overall appearance and construction is great and I would recommend this product. Doesnt compete with real hardwood furniture in terms of strength and durability but that shouldn't be expected. Compared to other diy furniture, its the best I've seen. ... show more

  • Just what I needed
Color: Grey Wash Size: 52 Inch Style: TV Stand
While there were a lot of pieces, the instructions were clear and the tv stand was fairly easy to assemble. I suggest that a second person be available to assist. The stand looks exactly like the picture and is fairly stable. It is definitely a good value and looks good.

  • Best DIY Instuctions of any Product - Just 1 Issue
Of all (a lot) of do it yourself products, this was the most accurate of any I have done in over 40 years! This was a sturdy TV cabinet with sliding doors done my myself. I only cheated by using a low power electric drill which Seller does not recommend, but several others did--just don't over tighten the screws. The material is MDF of some type, but held the screws tight, except for one minor piece that was also glued, so it worked. I did find one set of screws missing; however the Seller, via Azon, sent an entire set in 3 days of being contacted. Every piece, 100's) went together and the furniture fit perfectly at each step--very well designed. Only one problem, I put a item the top with water that spilled a little bit. The top is only paper and it wet and tore a little--my fault. The shipper should either find a better top solution, OR perhaps, much cheaper, provide about a 12" X12" piece that matches the top or to use anywhere on the product that could be damaged or torn. This is a problem with all MDF covered with paper--not idiot proof. ... show more

  • Sturdy but you need patience to assemble
Color: Rustic Oak Size: 52 Inch Style: TV Stand
We like the way it looks. We thought it was going to be solid wood because of the description. It is a flake board product. It is heavy and sturdy though. The finish is nice and it looks great in my den. It has plenty of storage for all types of electronics. The doors slide well. Overall it is a great product for the money. The assembly was ok. We did stop a couple of times and scratch our heads, but we built it. You need 2 people to build it. It would be very difficult for 1 person alone. We had a fastener crack. Thank goodness for the bag of spare parts. It took us about 3 hours to build. There was a chip on one of the sliding doors. We contacted Walker Edison and in days, we received a replacement door that was perfect. It was worth the money. You do need patience to assemble it. Its sturdy and does the job. ... show more

  • Sturdy and looks good! 👌
Color: Grey Wash Size: 52 Inch Style: TV Stand
We purchased this specific TV stand because it is a little smaller than our previous stand. This model is a little taller and takes up less room in a smaller bedroom. This stand felt sturdy and looks great. This model was a less expensive than our last stand and has the feel it will last longer because the materials used in this model were better quality than our last stand. The setup took about 30 minutes and I feel that is a long time for a TV stand but when it was finished there was no extra flex in the stand. It holds nice and sturdy. ... show more

  • Very satisfied
Color: Grey Wash Size: 52 Inch Style: TV Stand
Good quality for cost. Took awhile to assemble but came with easy to follow instructions. Love the taller height so the tv can be seen from anywhere in our open concept living/kitchen/dining. Was concerned if color I picked would work. Got the gray wash which blends right in with our gray/brown floors & complements our “aged” wood wall. Love how it’s designed so we can fit our satellite DVR, a DVD/VCR (yes they still exist) and a game system with room to spare. I also love the solid doors so we can keep all the unsightly things like extra cords, game controllers, etc. out of sight. Able to hide our internet modem & WiFi behind the stand on the floor without it having to stick out from wall any further than it already would’ve to allow room for plugs. Took hours searching local shops & browsing the web for the right stand that wasn’t going to break the bank but also wasn’t a piece of junk that would fall apart like what we had before. Overall I’m very happy we purchased this one. Very satisfied with it! ... show more
