    • Used with my 40Amp Grizzl-E, this cable keeps causing charging faults with my 2 EVs
I have been using this cable for about 2 months, but will be returning it, as it keeps causing charging faults when used with my Grizzl-E Classic charger set to 40Amps when charging both my Mustang Mach-E and my F-150 Lightning. It charges about 10% of each of the vehicles and then I am alerted to the vehicle experiencing a charging fault and the vehicle then stops charging. Perhaps the cable is over-heating. Unfortunately, reducing the amperage on my Grizzl-E is not an option, as I need as much power from it as I can get, due to the amount of driving and charging we do between our two EVs. ... show more

    • What you probably need if your charge port is in the back of the car
This extension cable saves us from having to back into the driveway every time we need to plug in. I don't know why almost all EV makers put their charge ports in the rear, or sometimes where the gas receptacle would be in an ICE car, but it's weird. Our new car not only has the port in the back, it's on the left side, completely opposite from where our charger is mounted. I use this on our Tesla and the Chevy Spark EV. It works great. It can stretch to the 2nd car in the garage with room to boot. I haven't had a problem. I assume it would work fine in the rain but we haven't had a lot of rain this summer. Yet, I am happy with the purchase.

    • Too hot at 40 amp! Caution!!!
If your car takes 40amp, this will heat up too much and tesla will stop charging. Had to reduce it to 35amp from tesla settings. Takes about 15% longer to charge - not a big deal for overnight charging. At 30amps it takes about 30% longer which is unacceptable. Wire is significantly thinner then what is used for 40amp. Wires also came out of socket. Had to take it to a retired electrician that tightened it all back up and tested it. Would not recommend due to wrong guage wire causing problems. ... show more

Works great to extend your level 2 charger. Quality material, rated for 40 amps. Most competition is for 30 amps. Helps me charge in my driveway from a charging station at the back of the garage.
