  • Great level 1 charger
Size: Level 1 15A 120V
Have been using this for several months as an overnight charger on a 2025 Kia EV6. Works great. Charges fast (I think it is faster than my old Tesla level one charger). Does not get hot.

  • Great budget friendly 15Amp EV charger that gets the job done slowly, but uses a standard outlet.
Size: Level 1 15A 120V
The media could not be loaded. This Level 1 portable EV charger by Lectron, is a respectable way to get a slower EV charger that’s not going to break the bank. With so many choices in the expanding world of EV chargers, this is great for some needs and not so much for others. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it that might help you make a better decision. I. Quality – The quality on this one is very good for the cost and especially for a Level 1 charger. I’d put it in the upper ranges of the quality scale, for EV chargers and guess it should hold up great like other Lectron EV chargers I’ve have. II. Usability – It’s very easy to use, being a plug and play type option. It uses a 5-15 plug that is your typical house outlet and has a max capability of 15A. You should only charge at 15A if the plug is on a 20A breaker. The main unit look basic, with only lights to communicate what’s going on. I have others that offer some good data like volts, amps, timer and kwh that you can see through a screen. However, I rarely even look at this data after the first few uses and you can see this info through the Tesla screen. The included bag is one of the nicer bags offered, in case you want to bring it along providing great portability. It’s important to keep in mind that a 12 to 15 Amp charger is going to charge painfully slow, but it gets the job done, while saving you money on purchase price. Overall, this is a very functional, budget friendly option for the 120V category. If you’re willing to spend the extra money, there are higher amperage options that offer 32-50A charging capabilities, that’ll charge your car significantly faster, but do require larger breakers, sockets and a professional install for most people. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. If you’d find it helpful to see an up-close visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen or landscape. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video! You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision. ... show more

  • A good charger to keep with you for traveling
Size: Level 1 15A 120V
It plugs into a standard household outlet, making it easy to use almost anywhere without special installation. Charging speed is slow, as expected with Level 1 (120V), so it’s best suited for overnight charging or topping off rather than daily high-mileage use. The 16 ft cable provides decent reach, and the build feels solid enough for regular portable use. ... show more

  • Very good portable emergency charger for Tesla vehicles
Size: Level 1 15A 120V
Lectron ranks among the top brands in the EV accessory market. If you ever look at a list of 'Best EV chargers' there's a good chance Lectron will be there. This is a fairly basic charger that I have put in the trunk of my wife's Tesla for emergencies. We have a home charging station but I like a more robust charger for that use case. This is something she has as a 'charger of last resort' with the hope that she'll never be in a situation where she has to use it. If she does, she's got a good product. It's not going to charge super fast but you knew that going in. It has a NEMA 5-15 plug and in a few hours you can have another 50 miles or so of range. Like all Lectron products, it has all of the built in safety circuitry you need including short circuit, overvoltage, overcharge, etc. It's extremely simple to use and has an IP65 dust/waterproof rating. It'll work with any Tesla or any other vehicle that uses the NACS interface. Basic, but functional, widely compatible and a value priced yet solid product. Recommended. ... show more

  • Simple, quality charger
Size: Level 1 15A 120V
My current EV uses the non-Tesla CCS/J1772 charging port but I have adapters that allow me to use newer NACS chargers. I ordered this charger so I can charge both types of EVs. This charger doesn't have wifi which is my preference. I don't want to have to configure a network or worry about wifi range. I want my chargers to be simple and just work. That's exactly what this charger does. The cable feels just as thick as my OEM chargers and the 16-foot length is generous. When not connected to the car, a Kill-A-Watt meter measured 0.01 A and 1 VA power consumption, which is almost nothing. I first used the wrong adapter, NACS to CCS. The status LEDs on the charger indicated that it was charging, but the car said it was unable to charge and the Kill-A-Watt meter reported just 0.04 A being used. The lesson here is that when the status LEDs indicate charging, it may not actually be charging. With the correct adapter, NACS to J1772, it charged and indicated as expected. My car is set to charge at only 8 amps because there is other equipment on the same circuit. This charger respected the car's limit and pulled almost exactly 8 amps from the outlet. Using an infrared thermometer I found the charger surface to be 20 degrees F above ambient after two hours of charging at 8 A, eventually rising to 30 F above ambient where it remained for the last six hours of charging. I couldn't detect any temperature rise at the handle or at the car's charging port. It comes with a card which has a QR code you can use to download the manual. The manual is only 10 pages long. It seems like for the small cost of 5 double-sided pages they could have just printed and included it. That said, the most important information is the meaning of the LEDs and that is also printed on the back of the unit itself. ... show more
