Why did you pick this product vs others?: Incredible!! This is THE best pan I’ve ever owned. I have several other cast iron and enamel pans from nice brands, and this cooks SO much better, IMO. It is truly non stick. Easy to clean. Heat is evenly distributed. It’s also beautiful! It is good for dishes that require both stove and oven cooking (up to a certain temp.) It is beautiful, cooks like a dream, washes up easy, and not too heavy for cast iron. Got in white and it's so clean looking, stays hot for 10-15 min at least if you serve at the table. Love that its made in France. Also looked it up to make sure no PFAS, PFOA forever chemicals in the enamel cook surface like previous Chinese pans. LOVE LOVE LOVE this pan! We were looking to replace our chipping non-stick cookware and decided to splurge a little on Le Creuset. We are slowing piecing together our collection and when we came across this braiser we knew it would be perfect. The enamel coating is super functional and is fairly non-stick. We still use oil for cooking, but when we don't and something sticks a little it is very easy to clean. Le Creuset cast iron has great heat retention so it does take a bit to cool down if you set your burner too high. The glass lid is great for steaming vegetables or eggs. This covered pan is awesome! Perfect size for the two of us. Was unaware that you now can use these cast iron on an induction cook top! The beautiful ceramic coating makes for easy cleanup. Very nice pan. I use it for a myriad of meals. The lid does make a lot of noise due to thermal expansion and contraction between the glass and metal outer ring. I do worry about the glass hitting its breaking point and shattering while cooking. The knob cannot be tightened too tight and tends to come loose while cooking.
