I bought this for my husband as he is a mobile mechanic. It works great for him, he is able to easily scan cars, find codes and it also helps with repairs. The touch screen is ok but it would be nice to have a screen protector that you can replace when it gets dirty or scratched.

The Launch code reader was received 1 day after order. The reader is easy to use and read all codes for engine MIL, ABS, Transmission, and SRS on a Ford and a Honda. The reader automatically reads the VIN and codes when connected. The reader also has the ability to monitor many, many inputs to the vehicle electronic modules. Excellent product that I highly recommend for determining the cause of vehicle problems and clearing the codes.

For the price, I was hoping to get something better than what I used to have, “Innova”. Ultimately you’re paying for a generic diagnostic device with a touch screen. It will select you’re vehicle by the vin, nice. But what concerns me is that it also give you the location the vehicles was tested and where it’s registered to. If this information is not secure, it could be a gold mine for an auto thief. You can get a cheaper device that will give you the same diagnostic report as this one. I’ll stick with an Innova or a vehicle specific diagnostic device next time
