The desk was easy to assemble with the included allen wrench. I did have to use a Philips head screwdriver for the motor control box. It took me ~1hr to assemble. I have had the desk for 1 day, so I can't speak to its quality, but it is sturdy and has a good amount of work space. The desktop came in 2 pieces, but I don't think it will interfere with the use of the desk. Honestly shocked by the great quality for the affordable price. I purchased the small 40" desk in maple. It was really easy to put together; I did it in 30 min or so by myself including unpacking and clean up. The lowering/raising mechanism works great. The packaging was protective and all parts were in great shape upon unpacking. All holes and parts lined up beautifully. It came with a larger than usual allen wrench for plenty of leverage which made building it very easy. Also came with cable management clips and a small plastic drawer that I wasn't expecting. Very pleased. If you're looking for an adjustable desk around this price point, I recommend this one for sure.

The headline is the summary. There's a lot to love but some flaws/drawbacks. This was my first standing desk and I bought it with an under-desk treadmill. So far, loving having a standing desk and the treadmill is game changing, I find it dramatically helps my focus and I feel better at the end of the day. But for the desk in particular, well, pros and cons. Pros: Really really easy to put together. One of the best designed pieces of DIY furniture I've ever seen, took about 30 minutes for one person and the instructions and packaging was fantastic. Each type of screw labeled and separately packaged. The finished product looks quite nice and seems very sturdy. Lots of little bonus accessories like a small plastic drawer for pens, a key pad to set favorite heights if you go back and forth or share the desk, a hook for a bag, a cord container. Cons: the plastic drawer for pens is pretty crappy. I may actually get rid of it and attach a better one - I wish they had used the quality materials from the rest of the piece and given us a metal mesh drawer that had slightly nicer rails. It's noticeable because the rest of the desk really is higher quality. Biggest con: I'm 5'8". If I'm on the floor in bare feet, the HIGHEST setting is just barely high enough for me to work comfortably. But the under-desk treadmill adds about 3", which means the desk is too short - I'm hunching down. I wound up getting a laptop stand to try and raise my work station, which is okay, but means I have to get a keyboard and other stuff to work around a too-short desk. I think I'm going to try getting a piece of wood next and putting it under each of the legs to try and raise the whole thing 4". Summary: for the price, this is a very solid desk, but if you're taller than around 5'7" (with any under-desk pads or treadmills or shoes you'll be using) then you may want to try and find a desk that has a taller max height.
