Since I purchased my autel mk808s bi directional scanner it has been wonderful and I've been able to do everything I need it to do being a 20 year automotive technician as well as power sports technician.I've been able to communicate with both power sports and automotive vehicles and see the parameters that I need to see as well as it has had all the different special functions that I've needed for things like electric parking brake or a sensor relearn calibration or brake bleeding mode so far it has been everything a professional scanner needs to be. The only downfall although not autells fault is with the power sports the manufacturers have not been mandated to all use the same connector for their diagnostic port like cars sold in the US have been since 1994 so you must purchase all the different adapters to 16pin OBD2 for all the power sports manufacturers and some manufacturers have more than for instance Yamaha has one for marine and one for off-road but this scanner does support all the different protocols needed to view the parameters for power sports you just need the adapters I have had no problems with connectivity nor have I had any problems with the units reliability it's super user friendly and I'm my honest opinion a great purchase for any mechanic or someone just looking to do some diy repairs on any late model vehicles requiring a bidirectional scanner to perform/complete specific repairs

After several months if use this machine has paid for itself 10 fold and had saved us hundreds in un needed repairs. It find the problem and diagnoses it immediately, it has a easy display to read, the detail is amazing and its extremely new user friendly! The accuracy is on point ! It us compatible with most all vehicles. We use it on our 1998 nissan frontier and our 2022 dodge charger.

OK... I do like the MK808S. It does MOST of what I wanted and feels like a quality product. But for me, I just can't justify spending $135.00 a year to keep the software up to date. Also, Autel does have US based support as I sent an email asking about an issue and I got a response in less than 15 minutes with real helpful info! I still give the MK808S 4 stars for the quality and support. Just understand the cost of keeping the apps up to date.

C.d.j.r. 35 year tech. Was looking to update to a newer cheape scanner. Tool guy let me use 2 other brand scanners. Both more expensive then this mk808. With less functions. Hell one of them (I'll mention no name) didn't ever show all 4 abs speed sensors.the autel has great so far. My pod didn't catch a misfire on a t/c 3.6 not a head guys know that's what you think. Are q/c guy drove it. had me look at it. Told me no flashing cel. Podded it and there was no pending/active/stored dtc. Just for shi s & giggles. We went for a ride w/this scanner on it. Watching misfire monitors. And cycl#3 showed misfire counts. Got back to the shop van still running & podded it again. And there was no pending/active/stored dtc. Pod say nothing but the autel did. The star scan (slow scan) is broken in are shop. There has been sometimes needed for it. But this autel has been able to work. Data/fob programming. Is not a bidirectional scanner. It's been worth the money. Now for some bad. No disrespect to autel just honest. The free 1 year for updates is over. Now I have to pay for any further updates if there are any. Look into it it's a couple of bucks and then some. Any c.d.j.r. w/pem you can't do anything w/it. Option not available. But if you program a fob w/pem this scanner tells you to replace/reset them pem. How can I nothing there for pem. Checked online found nothing w/autel pem reviews. Had a compass needed a fob replaced. Owner lost keys. The autel hot function stated not supported. You can get one of these around $350.00 when there is a hot sale. Ya it was worth it. Great for at home or quick go to scanner. High dollar for updates. Not me I'll get another one. Sell this one to a newbie. Bottom line I'm not advocateing for autel but really it's been great. Sure there's haters out there about all scanners. This is only my experience after 1 year of use.

Truck drained battery over long storage bcm not Communicating to pcm. Tried to do parameters reset on my 2013 ford f250 but this autelmaxi mk808s can't perform a parameters reset. Not a good scanner. Get a dealer level scanner more high end if you need to perform parameters reset. I then went to FORScan web site, down loaded a free software to my pc and was able to reset my modules Parameters for free and also program 2 new keys, truck ran flawlessly after. Local dealers want $390 an hours in Massachusetts to trouble shoot my truck but first my vehicle need to be towed to dealer. Hope this help the people out there with Ford truck. This Autel scanner did helped me a tow to the dealer from a different incident , because after regular brake fluid changed ABS module need to be recalibrated and force out all the air so the brakes work again and this scanner did that for me and also programed my 2014 honda crv key. I would give it a 5 star if it can reset the parameters on my 2013 Ford f250 starting system fault. But I guessed they saved that function for a $4k to $5k scanners. And Autel please stop contacting me multiple times about this post, your literatures claimed this scanner can do parameters reset and it can't. The scanner are very good for everything else and I am not returning it. So leave me alone! This is a free country and I can rated how ever I feel I am not going to change my Rating, don't claimed this scanner can do parameters reset if you don't want 1 star. Majority of the people out there with vehicle Troubles probably don't need parameters reset, this problem some what notorious to Ford trucks.

I had an issue with throttle body leak with my Cayenne GTS and needed something that would be comprehensive information, also own a MX 5 so wanted something that would work with both manufacturers as well. After extensive research, arrived at Autel, and specifically MK808S. Did not disappoint. I liked that it's a full blown tablet, with long cable (those ODB II ports are hard to reach), app is snappy, worked flawlessly. The device came in what looks to be an industrial grade carrying case as well. Was able to figure out the issues and kept a couple shops honest on their quotes. 10/10 would recommend.
