My new go-to! Curly girls, just get it! I’ve always been afraid to dye my own hair, so I used to go to the salon, but with how expensive it’s gotten lately, I decided to try something myself. Honestly, I didn’t think this would work because my hair is pretty dark, but the honey brown shade completely lightened my hair and looks exactly like the color on the box in person! I just did a touch-up after about three weeks of growth, and it took less than one bottle to do my roots. For my first full application, I bought two boxes and used both… totally worth it. My ends already had balayage, so the color there shifted slightly, but overall, it blended beautifully. Definitely a great investment if you’re looking for a change! EDIT/UPDATE: I noticed some reviews mentioning that the dye doesn’t cover grays (it’s not advertised as a gray-covering formula) and that some people’s roots turned out lighter. Quick PSA: your roots will lighten faster because of the heat from your scalp- totally normal! If you have curly hair, slight variations in color aren’t noticeable. I just think it’s this specific brand that doesn’t work for my hair at this point i wanted to do an at home balayage and before you say you need to go to a salon to get an actual balayage i took cosmetology courses and am osha certified i know how to do hair. This product continues to make my hair red and not lighter brown like it claims the pictures are not accurate end results at all i’m super disappointed once again. The scent makes my eyes water and i literally cannot breathe it acts up my asthma so bad i had to open a window and put on a fan to blow the fumes away from me. It is such a strong scent that i had to close myself in my room with the fumes because my cats with asthma started to have an asthmatic fit from walking by my room and smelling the hair dye. ... show more

Little light at first, shocking. But after a few washes I loved it. Fades perfectly. I only color my hair every few months so this is perfect for me. Yes, the shine is nice, product still necessary though. Favorite so far.
