So far I am very impressed with this product—much more so than I expected given all of the positive reviews from people who received a free product. I actually bought it and my dogs and I like it. The crate is well made, with quality materials and reliable zippers. The first time I set it up, I had trouble locking one bar into place and thought I was going to have to return it. I unlocked another bar that was causing the tightness, locked the troublesome one, and then was able to get them both locked. The crate is made to tight tolerances which is actually a good thing. I let it sit for a while fully assembled and the next time it was easy to lock all of the bars into place. The crate comes with a crate pad, which is a nice bonus. The XXL is huge; it’s plenty big for my 95 pound guy, and managed to fit 165 pounds of dog when his sister wanted to join him. The cons: it is not the crate’s fault if your dog chews up or escapes from a soft crate. That is a you problem, in not buying an appropriate crate for your dog. A soft crate is not the right choice for every dog. We use wire or hard crates at home, and this for travel. The downside I’ve noticed specific to this crate is how hard it is to get it into the bag with the crate mat around it. And the XXL is still quite large folded up. It’s about the size of my small pop-up sun shelter, though not nearly as heavy. That said, the configuration is easier for me to transport than a soft crate that folds flat. I haven’t had the product long enough to have an opinion on longevity, but it appears to be of good quality and I expect it to last as long as a soft crate should. ... show more

    • Dog should be kennel trained prior to use

I have a TALL standard poodle. He is lanky and thin framed, and weighs about 50 pounds. There was adequate room in the kennel for him to lay down and turn a circle. The height of the kennel is an issue as he cannot raise his head up all the way. We only use this kennel for short term traveling as he cannot be left to free roam unattended. He is kennel trained so doesn't dig or attempt to push out of the kennel. Putting the kennel up and down is fairly simple and very convenient. I would recommend being gentle during the process as you could bend the bars with too much force. The buttons are plastic so could break if you're too rough. The sides are soft and the mesh is thin and breathable. This kennel IS NOT for a dog that is anxious and tries to escape the kennel as they will be successful. Overall a decent buy and compact for traveling. ... show more

Bought this for a trip and its perfect. Easy to set up and easy to tear down. (Maybe you have to wiggle the rods a bit. But they snap in once you get it.) All 4 of my dogs instantly took to this "kennel". Feels to high quality time be a kennel. Side note the instructions and included pamphlet where ver nicely done. But a pain in the but to read as a color blind person. The gold letters on black in a small font that's glossy? And matt orange on a semi gloss black? Plz fire your media dept. The media could not be loaded. Pros: Lightweight with sturdy material and it’s not bulky. Despite going not being able to get it to stay assembled, it’s roomy enough for my 100lb American Bulldog to sleep. Cons: Assembly is horrible! According to the single page instructions, all you’re doing is popping the bar upwards until it clicks and that is supposed to lock the support beams in place. I exchanged the first one because one of the bars (the front top bar) wouldn’t lock only for it to be replaced with another one with the same issue (top side bar this time). I would love to say the problem is me but as you can see from the pictures, I was able to get all but one bar to lock in place despite the “click” Returning this one too. Ugh! ... show more

Love. I have a 27 lb doodle who is tall and lanky. We got the XL and he has lots of room. I put it together in 10 minutes. I was skeptical but it took 2-3 minutes to disassemble and 3-5 minutes to put back in its carrying bag, which went smooth. Beautiful travel crate, got the largest one for my guy. High quality Very easy to set up, light weight, compact, easy to clean. My dog was very comfortable and happy while traveling and being able to have his own space, just like at home. Being in an unfamiliar area can be difficult for him to relax as he’s more alert and protective, this brought him comfort to wind down.
