I don’t know why we waited so long to buy this. The front of our house, my son’s room, gets sun all day long. His room is usually about 10 degrees warmer than any other room in the house during summer. I came across this awning and for the price, we thought it was worth a try. Easily installed by my husband and son and there is a huge difference in the temperature of his bedroom. It was noticeable from Day 1!! The shade it throws is amazing too.. no more direct sunlight.. no more hot teenage boy bedroom.. this awning really is amazing!! We haven’t had summer heat yet.. which is easily between 100-110 degrees in the armpit of summer buuut we did hit 93 degrees a few weeks ago and you could definitely tell the difference, it was noticeably cooler in his bedroom. He’s happy.. we’re happy.. it was all around a GREAT purchase! ... show more

My handyman said it was fairly easy to install following the instructions.Good protection from the rain due to its size extending out far enough and the side panels make a difference.Looks good and not flimsy due to the composite material that will not need any maintenance and will last a long time.

While the awning is able to be assembled by one person, it takes two to get it mounted on the mounting plate, just because it's awkward and 8ish feet above the threshold. During assembly, use some tape to hold the PVC slats into the edge tracks while screwing the frame together. I recommend using sealant between the mounting track/support feet and siding and in the screw holes to keep moisture from wicking into the siding and sheathing through the screw holes. It's not mentioned in the instructions but really should be done. The included "adhesive" is mostly worthless. Don't bother with it. I got the 66" version and there were only 5 clips provided for both supports, there should be an additional 5 clips. It is seeming to hold, but feels like it is less than ideal. We'll see how it holds up to the first windstorm which is happening in a few days. I did pull down some sheet rock in the finished shed and put backing 2x4's in so the screws had more than just the siding and sheathing to hold onto, pic included. Once it is all up, looks good enough, but it is a bit flimsy/wobbly. Short vid provided to illustrate. I am not too worried about it holding, but others in my household are. We shall see. <edit> Survived the windstorm with 60+ MPH gusts no problem. I'm gonna need to do something about where the drainage lands, but that's to be expected. ... show more

Easy build, material feels flimsy but, withstood 50 mph winds and a severe thunderstorm dropping a lot of rain and hail. Just bought my second one. Keeps south facing rooms much cooler. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Got installed and it looks nice and is sturdy. Hard to put together by myself. Really need two people to get done quicker and easier. I had issues getting some of the screws in even using full size screwdriver. Allen wrench type one supplied not realistic to use for so many screws. My installer was able to finish getting screws in to complete and mount. Gluing strip on top seems unnecessary as it doesn't really stick to wavy surface. ... show more
