  • Juice Box level 2 charge station
All hardware and short whip included with charger. After running conduit and wire from breaker panel to secondary junction box, turned on and everything worked great. Installed wifi app on my phone and its out of date, needs firmware update as my vehicle does not show up. Loaded previous year vehicle and work fine. Not sure yet if juice box related issue or my internet but it keeps needing to be reset. This is a hassle as you have to turn off then follow instruction and reinstall wifi. Knowing just a little about this process i think its a juice box issue because the purple light comes on saying its ready for wifi. Again i believe this can be fixed with a firmware update. So far im happy with this purchase and it does charge from my phone or set time from my phone. ... show more

  • Works as expected, app has a little to be desired
The length of the cord is nice, I don’t have t worry about which side or how close in I park in my normal length driveway, the cord will reach. The charging capacity Is nice of course, charges my rav 4 prime in about 4.5 hours max, and app allows for scheduling that based on time of use rates to avoid the more expensive hours. The app has a little to be desired, The buttons are a little non intuitive, but I like the setup overall. Interestingly, I find the receptacle for the charger handle quite useful, it helps prevent it from flopping down and banging around, getting banged up in the garage. A clean insertion into the receptacle fibers me and the kids direction on where to put it! A couple larger loops and insert and the cord is wrapped in about ten seconds. ... show more

  • WiFi didn’t work, add was misleading, and although good customer support was slow
Checked the box for a plug in model and what I received was a hardwired model (as it said in the fine print) add said both. Customer service would not answer there phone, after 3 or 4 days got a pretty good back and forth email that lasted an additional 4 days that ended up with the phone call I wanted in the 1st place. WiFi only works on 2.4 GHz and turned out to be defective (time to complete set up was 1/3 of what it was supposed to be) could have been determined if someone had picked up the phone day one. Charger worked fine just no WiFi. Had to back car In wish cord was longer. ... show more

  • Easy Returns
After I purchased the product I realized I really needed the JuiceBox 40. I called JuiceBox to see what I could do to complete a swap. They told me to return the 32 and then purchase the 40. I did what they said except that Costco had a $50 discount so I bought from them. Installation was easy since my home was already wired with a 50 amp NEMA adapter. Performance has been great. While my car (BMW I3) can be programmed to charge on a schedule, I find it easier to use the JuiceBox ap. Good investment. ... show more

  • Avoid this charger like the plague
I bought this EVSE back in January mainly for the power sharing functionality for when I will need to install a second EVSE within the next year. It started off working great. The app was a little clunky, but no real issues. Fast forward to June, and I like many others were migrated to the new app, which has been a complete trainwreck. The power sharing feature, which was the entire reason I bought it, apparently doesn’t work any more. The charger was completely non-operational for a few hours and still takes 30 or so seconds to initiate charging, compared to near instant in the old app. Anyone interested in buying this EVSE, please look at the dates of the reviews. Nearly all good reviews are from before 2023 under the old app. If you’re lucky, your juicebox under the new app will work on a basic level without any of the previously advertised functions. If you’re unlucky, it gets bricked by the new app. Now I’m looking at the likelihood of tearing it out and replacing with Wallboxes, and since Enel decided to ruin this product 6 months after my purchase through this new app, I can’t return it and I’m out the ~$600 spent only a few months back. Read the recent negative reviews and the discussion online about the new app, and avoid this EVSE. ... show more

  • Easy to use!
The Juice Box works great, the website to configure charge times is easy to use and the related reports are well done. The only gripe is that the cable is a little stiff to wind up but in reality if the car is close to the charger you don't need to unwind the cable. The charge notifications emails are clear. No complaints. I'd buy it again ... show more

  • Works Well
Easy installation and smart design. Did not come with plug. Able to view status and set what time I want to start charging on smart phone.

  • Find a different charger. Do yourself a favor.
The charger works ok, but recently the company took down the web site for monitoring the charger and controlling things like to what percent to charge the EV battery to. The old iOS (and I assume the android one too) app was perfectly fine. A couple of days ago, the app reported that the charger is disconnected. After trying to figure out how to fix it, I contacted support. They told me the website is going away and the I needed to move to their new app. The new app is terrible and lacks a lot of features that made me want to buy the charger. I’m talking about the main screen in the app is basically blank when no car is plugged in. The charging history is no clumsy to access and is missing useful information like how much my utility charged me - what it cost to charge the car. Also missing now is the API endpoint used by popular home automation software. All that is now broken for people. I wish I could recommend this charger. I won’t be replacing it, but hopefully I can save some of you from the same mistake. ... show more
