Activate Stay-Open Mode keeps the lid up through the whole cleanup — scrape plates, wipe counters, and clear the table without touching the can again. The lid opens at a controlled angle to help keep your walls clean and damage-free. Get more room for every toss — this trash can holds 20% more waste thanks to its bucket-free design, using any standard 13-gallon bags. Power with AC adapter (included) for always-on convenience or 4 D size batteries (not included) for portability. Battery life up to 1.5 years. Made with high-quality 430 grade stainless steel, this trash can features an advanced oleophobic coating that naturally resists oil, fingerprints, and stays free of smudges for a clean, modern look that’s easy to maintain and built to last. The PetGuard lid lock keeps pets out of the trash, preventing messes and protecting your furry friends from harmful waste. From the kitchen to the home office or garage, this versatile trash can fits seamlessly wherever you need clean, convenient waste disposal. Its sleek stainless steel design and touchless operation make it a smart choice for any room. Designed to reduce packaging waste, the trash can lid is packed inside the can body, allowing the full-size 27.3" trash can to ship in a smaller 25" box without compromising capacity or performance. Q: Does this automatic sensor trash can feature a child and pet lock mechanism? A: Yes. This touchless model features an integrated manual Pet Lock and Child Lock switch located on the side of the lid. Engaging this safety lock disables the lid from opening, completely preventing dogs, cats, toddlers, and accidental bumps from triggering and lifting the top. Q: What size trash bags should I use for this 13-gallon kitchen garbage bin? A: No special bags needed! Any standard 13-gallon kitchen drawstring trash bag fits perfectly without expensive custom liners. The built-in trash bag retainer ring holds the bag securely in place and tucks messy bag edges completely out of sight for a clean look. Q: What are the power options? Does it come with an AC adapter? A: You have flexible power options. This model includes the official iTouchless AC Power Adapter for battery-free power. Alternatively, it runs on 4 D-size batteries (not included), which can last up to 2 years. Q: How does the AbsorbX Odor Filter System control garbage smells? A: The lid seals securely to trap odors and features an integrated AbsorbX Odor Filter compartment. Q: Is the exterior stainless steel finish fingerprint-proof and easy to clean? A: Yes. • Touchless trashcan - BATTERY LIFE
After having the replacement trashcan for about a month, I am very pleased with the item. Have not replaced the battery an the replacement can and it seems to be still pretty strong. Like the way can looks and very simple to operate. Fits well in designated space. Not sure about battery life. First set lasted only a week. Have had the trashcan for about 2 weeks. Works great but I have had to put in a third set of batteries. Bought two other smaller sensor trashcans over a month ago and they aren't close to needing batteries recharged or replaced. Like everything about the trashcan except battery life. Have ordered two sets of rechargeable batteries. Hope they help. Decided to return and have ordered a replacement of the same brand in hopes that this was a defective can. Will review replacement after it arrives. ... show more

    • Great trashcan
Color: Silver and Black
I've this trashcan for over a year now. I was very hesitant to make the purchase because of the price, but almost a year later I don't have any regrets. I like the look of it a lot. It looks deceptively small and the stainless steel makes it easy to clean. Personally, I like to use the ring inside to keep the bags hidden, which is a major plus for me. I really wish it came with the charger, especially for the price, but the batteries are only now starting to get weak which isn't bad. I haven't had any problems with the motion sensor detection or speed and I like that I can push the open button to keep it open for long periods of time when I'm cooking. I like being able to move it around, although it can be a little inconvenient to lock the wheels .I wish the lock(s) were bigger so I could just step on them easily without having to bend down. However, it doesn't move around all that much with the wheels unlocked so I just keep it unlocked. Personally I didn't notice any difference in terms of odor. Like any decent trash can there's not an abundance of smell when it's closed, but you still can get a whiff of old food if its open. I doubt I will purchase filter replacements unless there is some great deal or a generic that I find helps. Hope this review helps! ... show more

    • Touchless
Color: Silver and Black
I am generally very satisfied with this product line, though I understand the lids are prone to breaking over time. Upon receiving my most recent set, one of the trash cans was significantly bent. While I managed to pop out some of the damage and decided to use the product rather than go through the hassle of a return and replacement. ... show more

    • Auto-open lid is super convenient, reliability is awesome (no problems after 6 years)
Color: Silver and Black
I purchased two of these (one for the kitchen and one for my home office), wired, in 2020 and they both still function flawlessly. I like having the trash covered and really enjoy the convenience of not having to manually open the lid when I want to deposit something into the trash can. I highly recommend them. ... show more

    • 3 Years after purchase honest review
Color: Silver and Black
Review Image by Jeff S
This is the kind of review that matters. Customers always want to know if a product will last and reviewers can never tell you that upon initial purchase. But I can right now, nearly 3 years after buying one. Will this product hold up over time, and how much after the warranty expires? The answers are NO, and 6 months TOPS if you’re lucky. DO NOT buy an iTouchless motion sensor garbage can unless you are prepared to get a replacement sensor lid for $65 plus shipping that breaks down in less than a year and a half, naturally after the 1-year warranty expires. It happened TWICE. Poor quality control. Inferior durability. Zero longevity. Bought the iTouchless 13-gallon sensor trash can with AC adaptor in October 2022. Motion sensor can be sticky at times but overall it worked just fine. Was happy with it. Then 17 months later, the lid stops working. The sensor seems to work, green light illuminates. But it won’t open. Something mechanical inside the lid broke down. I call customer service and explain the situation. Get the customary “the product is out of warranty” feedback. After a civil exchange, they agree to send me a free replacement lid, provided I pay for the $15 shipping fee. Not full satisfaction, but I’ll take it. Cut to 15 months later. Same thing happens again with the replacement lid. You can hear the clicking sound inside the lid, but it won’t open. I email customer support, explaining the history of these lids, mentioning they clearly have a quality control issue with their products. You would think they would do the right thing and send me another lid as requested. I even told them that had this sensor lid lasted 3 years, even 2 years, and broke, I wouldn’t have said anything. I get that consumer products don’t last long anymore, especially ones made in China like this one. But less than a year and a half twice in a row? This is an unacceptable pattern. In the end, iTouchless refused to send me another new lid. Claimed the warranty only applies to the original item purchased in 2022, whose warranty expired in October 2023 - even though the replacement lid was sent in March 2024. Instead they sent me a link to purchase a new lid with a 15% discount code. I declined their offer and instead purchased a similar sensor lid trash can by NineStar (battery operated only but that’s sufficient for my needs) for less than the cost of an iTouchless replacement lid. I had purchased a large Ninestar bin for my recyclables at the same time as my iTouchless and have not had any problems with it for nearly 3 years. I’m not trying to be a nuisance or grandstand. Simply asked for a fair resolution which would have cost them next to nothing and likely prompted me to write a different review now, glowing about their phenomenal customer support. Company decided to be short-sighted, without any care for their reputation and word of mouth. OK, that was their choice. Posting this honest review is mine. ... show more

    • Nice!
Color: Silver and Black
Review Image by ❤️AlleyCat❤️
I was in need of a new trashcan after recently breaking my last one so when I saw this one on Amazon I thought I would give it a try. I decided to get the one with wheels because it will make it easier to move it to and from the refrigerator when I clean it out from time to time. I was afraid it would be dented when it came but it was well packaged and secured in the box with Styrofoam. It was easy to set up and took less than 5 minutes to have it up and running. I thought it came with an AC adapter but I misread the product information. I probably have a half dozen of them lying around the house anyway that I can use if I choose. I went with using batteries anyway for convenience. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase. It was expensive but worth it in my opinion. It looks nice and I never have to touch anything icky. ... show more

    • Excellent in response, mobility and features
Color: Silver and Black
Review Image by Nicole Reever
This product was definitely worth the cost. I was able to purchase it on sale and was beyond happy with the overall quality and design. I love the wheels that are on this model. It applies me to move it wherever needed effortlessly. I didn’t even know it would be anything I wanted, but it’s definitely a great added feature that makes this product even more appealing. I also bought the power cord separately because that was the main reason for purchasing this one. I had previously touchless trash bins and because the D batteries were very heavy it ended up breaking the battery cover, essentially rendering it useless and uncleanable. I’m thrilled I purchased the cord. Not only does it make the lid lighter in weight, but it seems to also make it respond quicker and smoother. The design was more compact than I expected however it still holds an appropriate amount of trash. I am extremely happy so far with my purchase and won’t hesitate to consider this brand in the future. ... show more

    • Motion detection doesn't respond well
Color: Silver
While this trash can seems smaller than my similar one that I had to replace, the smaller size is not really the issue that bugs me. What I have a problem with is the fact that the motion detector does not work very well. One has to nearly put your hand or other solid object right up on top of the sensor before it will trigger the lid to open. Usually, I end up having the lid hit my hand or the solid object as soon as it opens because my hand is so close to the lid just to trigger it. In some ways, it negates the whole idea of the motion detection feature because if you try to trigger it by holding your hand or an object six inches away from the can, it will not trigger it to open. You must be between an inch or two of the can to get it to trigger the lid to open. That's why the lid, which opens rather quickly, ends up striking you before you can move your hand out of the way. So if you have to put your hand so close to the lid of the can to get it to open, you might as well go ahead and press the button to open the lid. The motion detector just doesn't work well, and sometimes, even when you try to trigger it from up close, it still does not open the lid. I have on a few occasions had to press the open button just so I could get the garbage in my hands into the trash can. I have no patience for devices that do not work as they are purported to work in their product description. This one is not that responsive and the range of the motion detection ability is so limited, it almost makes it not worth the effort -- and therefore, not worth the purchase price. I would not buy it again. ... show more
