This is so perfect. I love that its tall and slim, with compartments for recycling and for trash. It looks so much better than our loose plastic cans that were shorter and wider, took up more space, no lids, and just didn't look good. This unit meets that objective, however the reduced capacity of each bin requires each to be emptied more often and uses more bags…more expensive bags that can only be purchased on Amazon (we’re accustomed to buying a larger quantity, less expensive bags from Costco). I bought this not only because it’s stainless steel & goes well in my kitchen, but also because it serves two functions-it’s a trash can & recycling can combined. The trash portion is slightly larger & I use a standard tall kitchen trash bag in each section (you may not want to use a bag in the recycling part, but I always seem to have soda cans or other items that leak a little water after they’ve been rinsed & a bag keeps the mess off the can.) My kitchen isn’t large & since I need to have a can for garbage & recycling, this works like a charm. We have had this bin for a little over a year. It’s great for its sleek space saving design but the lever that opens the lid has already stopped working. Also, the metal dents easily. For the cost of the trash can, it should last longer than one year

I love it! From other items I’ve bought that seemed a good deal I was worried this would be small but it’s a good size. Now the bins do look small but I’m sure we will manage so we can have the convenience of both recycling and trash in one pretty bin. Glad I bought it.

    • Hard to get a full bag out

Have had this for a few months and it’s terrible to remove a full trash bag from. You have to pull very hard, and possibly the bag rips or gets stuck and you have to hold it upside down for it to slowly fall out. Had a style very similar before but it was shorter and the trash cans wider so it was no problem, had it for 9yrs. Also noticed it rusts very easy. From when my kids put magnets in it and it scratched. The other one never did this. Definitely comparing the two and have a preference. Anyway.. Looking for a new trash can. ... show more
