We originally purchased Model DZT13M in January 2019, specifically because this model has wheels. It has served us long and well for over 5 years. Sadly, of late, even with brand new batteries, the self-opening feature is only working intermittently. We have cleaned the sensors, etc., but have seen no improvement in its functioning, so it is time to replace this unit. We have been so happy with this make/model that we will be purchasing the exact same make/model, and fully expect another 5 years of reliable service. BTW - we choose to use batteries rather than getting the optional power adaptor, because the kitties do NOT need another cord to chomp through!

I'd always wanted a touchless garbage can for my kitchen, so I finally bit the bullet and now I'm like "where has this been all my life?" It works incredibly well and holds a lot and it is lightweight and easy to roll over to the kitchen counter when I'm cutting up veggies so I can discard scraps. I like that when the trash bag is installed it doesn't show so it looks nice an neat. Don't hesitate on this. Order one!

Likes: automated (very useful when cooking/when hands are full), model purchased had wheels and is easy to move, easy to clean/change, looks nice, big enough for bigger things/small enough to not take up a lot of space, pet lock works to keep it closed (I don't know that it would fully prevent a pet from getting in -currently no pets) Dislikes: oders are concentrated so when it opens its very strong. Oder bag doesn't do much, but when closed theres no smell. Its very sensitive to someone walking past, and can be unpleasant when it happens unexpectedly. I've used the pet lock to keep it closed, when I'm doing things around it that would trigger it a lot. That works, but I sometimes forget the lock is there.

I've this trashcan for over a year now. I was very hesitant to make the purchase because of the price, but almost a year later I don't have any regrets. I like the look of it a lot. It looks deceptively small and the stainless steel makes it easy to clean. Personally, I like to use the ring inside to keep the bags hidden, which is a major plus for me. I really wish it came with the charger, especially for the price, but the batteries are only now starting to get weak which isn't bad. I haven't had any problems with the motion sensor detection or speed and I like that I can push the open button to keep it open for long periods of time when I'm cooking. I like being able to move it around, although it can be a little inconvenient to lock the wheels .I wish the lock(s) were bigger so I could just step on them easily without having to bend down. However, it doesn't move around all that much with the wheels unlocked so I just keep it unlocked. Personally I didn't notice any difference in terms of odor. Like any decent trash can there's not an abundance of smell when it's closed, but you still can get a whiff of old food if its open. I doubt I will purchase filter replacements unless there is some great deal or a generic that I find helps. Hope this review helps!

The media could not be loaded. Easy to set up. I love the hands free feature. It is very convenient. It also has Open and Close buttons that can be used without power.So even if the batteries wear out it is still functional. The wheels are easily attached and work well. It minimizes the smells too.I really like it. But it stopped working after 5 months. I will update after I hear from the manufacturer.
