This trash can is exactly what I was looking for. It has a sleek, modern design that looks great in my kitchen, and the 13-gallon capacity is perfect for everyday use. The lid opens and closes smoothly, helping keep odors contained, and the stainless steel finish is easy to clean and resists fingerprints. It feels sturdy, well made, and offers excellent value for the price. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

This was my first time buying a garbage can with the motion detection feature and it's actually pretty cool. First off, I was going from a tall cylindrical garbage can to this item which is shorter, wider, and rectangular which is definitely a plus as it's much easier to dump in garbage from smaller cans that I have in the bathroom and bedroom. The motion detection feature isn't as sensitive as I've seen from other reviewers who complained that the can opened every time they walked by it. I have a small kitchen and I'm literally in front of it when standing working on the counter and the can does not open. I actually have to wave my hand in close proximity to get it to open. Since this is not a step activated can, it doesn't have the hinge that my old can had and was scratching my refrigerator and the lid doesn't hit the wall or refrigerator like my old can did. My only complaint is that the lid will close shut rather quickly even if you are working in front of it dumping multiple garbage items at one time. It will close on me and them I have to re-wave my hand to get it to open again so that I can finish dumping the garbage. Otherwise, this is a much more useful garbage can than the one that I just replaced.

I recently purchased the FDW Garbage Can 13 Gallon 50 Liter Kitchen Trash Can, and I couldn't be more impressed. This trash can has exceeded my expectations in terms of both functionality and design. First and foremost, let's talk about capacity. With a whopping 13-gallon (50-liter) capacity, this trash can easily accommodates the needs of my household without the constant hassle of emptying it multiple times a day. Whether it's kitchen waste, recyclables, or general household garbage, there's ample space for it all. Plus, the removable inner bucket makes emptying and cleaning a breeze. What truly sets this trash can apart, though, is its sleek and modern design. The stainless steel exterior adds a touch of elegance to my kitchen, seamlessly blending in with any decor scheme. The fingerprint-resistant finish is a godsend, keeping the can looking pristine with minimal effort. Additionally, the soft-close lid is a fantastic feature, providing quiet and gentle closure every time, which is especially convenient during late-night disposal runs. Functionality-wise, I appreciate the hands-free operation of the motion sensor lid. It opens swiftly and smoothly with just a wave of my hand, allowing for quick and hygienic disposal of trash without the need to touch the lid. Plus, the sensor is responsive and reliable, ensuring consistent performance with every use. Durability is another key aspect worth mentioning. Despite daily use, this trash can has proven to be incredibly sturdy and well-built. It feels like a high-quality product that's built to last, making it a worthwhile investment for any household. In conclusion, the FDW Garbage Can 13 Gallon 50 Liter Kitchen Trash Can has become an indispensable part of my kitchen. Its combination of generous capacity, sleek design, and convenient features make it a standout product in its category. Whether you're upgrading your kitchen essentials or simply looking for a reliable trash can, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this one a try. It's sure to exceed your expectations just as it has mine!

This is a pretty nice trash can for the price, but it does have a few downsides that I don't like about it. For one, it is abnormally short for supposed 13 gallon trash can. I'm not sure if it is a miss printing on the size, but I don't think it is actually the size it says it is. Secondly I love the idea of the retaining ring that holds the trash bag in place, but the problem is the retaining ring is not properly sized to hug the outside of the trash can. Often it falls in towards the trash can because it's not sized right with a big enough lip around the edges. Thirdly, the sensor works but you really have to almost touch the thing for it to work properly. And it always almost takes a few tries before it goes off. But for the price point of about half the price of a simple human trash can with a foot pedal, it's a pretty good deal and a pretty good can.

It is not good at all. In fact all of these styles from other srller too are all trash. Did nott ever have to spend so much on these items in my life. Thus one started to leak from bottom last year so now is used only paper or lint for laundry. I am tired of purchasing trash cans not built well at all I am not on the stainless steal I bought last year.....sane problems with battery mechanism and tonight found liquids all over kitch and paid more then this one(62.00!) there are all poor quality at to much of a cost. How this can happen 4 to 5 times to me is nothing I can understand. Never should need a warranty for trash when offered one. No room in this rental for thr real dancy ones for estate home, not my style nor in my budget. Going back to the regular kind with no batteries needed as they cost a fortune to and rediculous to need gor trash cans. Companies should supply lifetime batteries for consumers who buy and like product that never leaks. I believe it is the bottom not designed well with as not one solid piece, just a little addon for looks. Think about the product going into it who cars about mixing white trash can with black bottom or whatever color they all are horrible. If is was all one piece at bottom I would have first one from 2016 bought for 75.00. Its so unfair and not spending another 60+ for 6th one. Yo many pieces and batteries for holding bunch of garbage. Going back in time to make my life easier and no more of these designs for me. My mom had a plastic all one piece lasted for years. These are made for looks for user friendly to me. Trash cans costing way to much. I do not need it as a focal point in my kitchen, rather be less noticed. No more time to "waste" on trash can that causes more "Waste". Things not made like years ago that is fir sure!!!!

When you have some trash in your hand you just pass it over the top of the can and like magic it opens and then closes by itself. It is so convenient. I love it! What a marvelous invention! It keeps all the odors inside the can as well. It does sometimes open when you pass by but that isn't really an issue. We have had it for a month. It is still working and the batteries have not needed to be changed. Before my trash can was under the sink and I had to open the the door then throw the trash in and then close the door. Now I can just put the trash in the can on the run in one step,

Trash can is short, loud when opening and closing, and have to squeeze the can to get the cover on. Tried making it work. Couldn’t deal with it anymore. Bought a different one. Unfortunately , I just missed the 30 day window to return it. My only issue with amazon is the short return window. 😡
