Got this garbage April 1st, Does everything as advertised. Recently changed the battery a week ago, February 6th. Can expect the battery (Duracell 4C) to last about 10 months. It’s in my kitchen and I as well as my mom cook everyday. my nephew also likes to open it for fun frequently so it’s quite durable and hasnt broken to my shock. Good energy usage, i expected to have to change the batteries every six months. pleasantly surprised with the product considering the price. keeps smells in really well. Shipping is an extra 30 but thats not surprising to me. will purchase again when i move out. ... show more

I love the fact you can open the trash can with a button or just hold hand over it but I don't like the fact the trash be so heavy .I also like the fact that it keeps that the smell inside the trash can.

The sensor for the lid sucks and never works right. 95% of the time I must press the open button. When you press the open button, it doesn't auto close. This means you must press the close button too. However, I bought it to prevent my dog from getting in the trash, and it at least does that. All in all it's a inexpensive trash can. It looks good and the retaining ring does a great job at prevents the bag from falling. ... show more

This trash can is nice looking and looks good in my small kitchen. Once I added the four C Cell batteries it didn’t work. I tried a well known & trusted brand but still no power for the opener sensor. For the price I paid I’ll still keep it but very disappointed with the quality of the electric component. At least the lid stays up so I can scape food residue from plates after meals. ... show more
