But, also as have been mentioned multiple times, the hinges on both have broken, with normal use, within a year. It is very disappointing. Is there anyway to repair or replace them? Q,I love this trash can. I got Dec 2023 so I'm sure it is out of warranty. It does everything it says. Controls odors automatic long battery life hidden bag. Slim design fits in small places. My issue is a hinge broke. I would love to get a replacement part if I knew how to contact customer service. But if you want touch free and small this is it. It's a great product over all

I'll leave my original 4-star review below, however, a year later it no longer opens. It tries to open, does the normal blue light signal and you can hear it try to open but it's like it doesn't have enough power to open the lid. I changed the batteries hoping that was the issue but nope it still doesn't work. For about $40 I would expect it to have a much longer life expectancy than a year. Ironically, the return window ended Aug 22, 2023, and it broke down LITERALLY a year to the day after that. The only negative I have to say about this is that it is smaller than I expected. But for a bathroom, it will be fine. I love that I no longer have to step on a pedal to open the can (which never works the way you expect it to). I love that once you place the bag in and put the lid on, it does a kind of suction to pull the bag to the sides and bottom of the can. I found that a normal grocery store type bag is perfect and it still suctions to the sides. My teen loves it and getting her to clean up her bathroom messes has become much easier as she thinks it's fun to have it open and close for her (even playing "open sesame" with it). I know some of the reviews on it said that it broke down pretty quickly but I got it during Prime days so the cost was almost half the usual price and I figured there would be no better time to buy it. If it does break down soon I will come back and update. As of right now though (a lil over a month later) it is well worth the money I put out for it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Nice size, but the plastic hinges break quickly and the lid quits operating making it necessary to lift and hold the lid open to use it.

Editing to say i have had this for 3mths now and the hinge is broken and door cant open right. So i am soo sad. I love how it sucks i. The bag, but its not worth it if hinge breaks like that. Hands down best trash can I have ever bought. We all lovr it and it is soo easy to use to. It is a perfect sizr for the bathroom and i love how the bag sucks itself to fit the trash can. It looks great and fits well. The lid opens easily with a wave of your hand and it holds enough that i only have to changw it 1x a week 100% reccomend.
