al poco tiempo aproximadamente un mes comenzó a funcionar de la manera incorrecta. diferente a la forma descrita en la publicación que promete ser un producto de buena calidad, lo que te venden, lo deje pasar pensando que no era la gran cosa, pero después de los 3 meses de garantía la cual desconocía, limpiando el bote de basura apenas pasando un trapo por encima de se quebró uno de los elevadores que hacían subir la tapa, lo intente arreglar pegando el elevador del producto y me di cuenta de que está hecho de muy mala calidad, frágil, solo plástico muy delicado, intente buscar una garantía pero me tope con la sorpresa de que solo se hacen responsable en esos primeros meses y que si el producto se dañó siendo manipulado como fue en mi caso (limpiándolo con una toalla húmeda) era imposible hacerla valida. antes de contemplar adquirir este producto que, aparentemente es agradable a la vista, considere y se pregunte: ¿cuánto tiempo me gustaría conservarlo?, ¿cuánto tiempo funcionara de la forma descrita en la publicación? Por qué lo debes de saber en estos momentos que no es mucho tiempo, es un producto desechable, no esperes que aun funcione seis meses después de adquirirlo. por el precio que cuesta adquirirlo, la descripción del mismo es muy sencillo caer y más si ya estas predispuesto en cuestión de que ya buscas este producto; solo vengo a decir que si quieres un bote de basura con esta funcionalidad que quieras conservar por un tiempo mayor a tres meses funcionando correctamente, este no es el producto prometido

The best trash can I ever had

With only two weeks of daily usage, more days opening and closing one time than days opening multiple times, the hinge started sounding rickety. While it still opens automatically, the lid lifts with intermittent pauses instead of a smooth and steady opening. It appears that the Joybus slim trash can was redesigned from two hinges to a single hinge that is double the size of the previous ones. Unlike many of the sellers these days, I was offered a replacement, and it was here the next day (today). I will come back and edit this post if it is still operable within a few weeks. My other concern is the vacuum feature. When I lifted the lid to examine the mechanism, there was a little silver pressure plate that created a sound when it was pushed. When I put the lid back on the unit, there was no sound or vacuum activated. Obviously, a design flaw. The slim design is absolutely perfect for the bathroom; it slides between my tub and the toilet. I'm so thrilled to wave my hand over the lid and it opens, making life much easier for me! One thing I detest is touching the lid of a garbage can, no matter how clean I keep it. I always have to wash my hands afterward. I can't attest to how long the batteries will last in this unit after only using it for two weeks. It's always a good idea to use fresh batteries in any new equipment to properly test it. I like the blue light that appears when the lid opens. One of the nicest features is that the circular motion sensor is ringed with blue lights that blink out to count down the seconds until the lid closes. There is no information on the product page that explains if the interior blue light is a sanitizing light. The white exterior of the trash can appears neat and clean. You will easily notice if hair or dust settles on the top, which wipes off quickly with a tissue. Try to avoid the motion sensor when you are wiping it off because the sensor is sensitive and can detect movement really well. I really do like this trash can, even with its little hiccups. The clean look, the tuck-in hole for securing the inner plastic bag, and the lid that keeps the whole area looking tidy, versus an open trash can. If the hinge on the new one works better, I'll let you know. I'd definitely buy this if it were on sale or with a good discount coupon. Overall, I'm a little disappointed that the unit doesn't function better based on the other reviews, but the aesthetics make it worth it for me, and not having to touch a covered trash can...going to save a lot of moola on hand soap! lol

Q,I love this trash can. I got Dec 2023 so I'm sure it is out of warranty. It does everything it says. Controls odors automatic long battery life hidden bag. Slim design fits in small places. My issue is a hinge broke. I would love to get a replacement part if I knew how to contact customer service. But if you want touch free and small this is it. It's a great product over all
