I LOVED this trash can for while. Unfortunately I bought it November 2nd and by February the lid doesn't lift for some reason after changing the batteries which were new. Of course the lid was the whole reason for the purchase and I am very sad. I did try using the support button and going through all the troubleshoot options but that doesn't seem to be helping. Edit to add: I cannot even return the item. Maybe save your money? ... show more

When a curious nose gets a little too brave, the lid kicks on with a very noticeable mechanical sound and opens—just enough to startle, not annoy. That one sound was all it took.
