The media could not be loaded. As someone who values a clean home but doesn’t always have the time for daily upkeep, I was excited to try out the ILIFE A12 Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo—and so far, after two uses, I’m impressed. Setup Experience: Initial setup was slightly confusing. The power button functions differently depending on whether you hold it for 3 seconds or 5 seconds, and that wasn’t clearly explained in the manual. It took a bit of trial and error to get it started properly. Also, finding the “sweep only” mode in the app took some digging, as the docking station doesn’t have an interface and the remote control uses icons only, with no labeled buttons—which may be a challenge for first-time users. Cleaning Performance: Once up and running, the A12 Pro really shines. I have vinyl floors with a few area rugs, and it transitioned across surfaces seamlessly. No water spots, no residue—just a solid clean. I can’t speak for how it handles really messy jobs, as I maintain a pretty tidy space, but for daily upkeep and dust, it’s performing great. Noise Level: One thing to note: the self-emptying feature is powerful—but loud. If you place the dock near a bedroom or living room, it might be disruptive. My workaround? Run the vacuum while you’re out or schedule it during your deepest sleep window. You could also set the dock up farther from your sleeping or TV space. Pro Tips from Experience: •Put barstools on the counter and remove loose or lightweight items from the floor to prevent the vacuum from getting stuck. •Skip rugs with fringe—those decorative edges can cause the vacuum to struggle or stop. This vacuum is a strong contender for hands-free cleaning, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs over time. I’ll be back in 6 months with an update. ✅ Would I recommend it? Yes—for anyone with mostly hard floors looking for a smart cleaner with excellent suction and mapping. 🔄 Is there a learning curve? A little—but it’s manageable.

This seems to be one of the best in this price range. I have had a Eufy (pretty good) and Lefant (garbage) -- this one cleans better and also finds its charging dock easily. Seems to be solidly made and runs for quite a bit of time without needing to recharge. Once it's back on its base, it empties itself into the bags. You get 5 bags and a remote in addition to a filter, two extra brushes and two mopping pads. In addition, it works with the app if you prefer to use that. Easy set-up, although I was unable to connect it to Alexa, but for me that's not a big deal. It's also pretty quiet when cleaning compared to others.

This has to be one of the absolute best robot vacuums I have ever had. It picks up all of my dog’s hair, my hair, dirt, debris, leaving the floors squeaky clean. Works great on carpet as well. I have a very thick shaggy rug and it is very well capable of cleaning it to my very high standards.

PET HAIR - it will not pick up pet hair off a carpet. There is no middle rolling brush, just a suction and some bristles to push it inward. It does not do great on a carpet. It will leave piles of hair behind. If the vent catches it, it will blow it around. The battery life is okay if you leave it on the normal suction speed but dies quickly on anything stronger. I do like the self emptying system to it but will likely resell the item since it is not great for pet hair at all. The map is cool too. The app is okay. Def not worth the full price. 🙃 3 bedroom 1 bath home. Oh and no cliff sensor either.

We bought this in 2020 after going through several other models from other manufacturers. Got this one specifically because it does not have a roller brush. Found that ones that did would get destroyed by long hair after a short time. Both previous devices were retuned within 6 months with mangled parts due to hair. (another retailer with a longer return policy) Also had an iRobot model that wouldn't go on our area rug- called support and they suggested 'getting another carpet' (?!?). This one keeps trucking. Robot vacuums have limited capability and I've read some other review that complain about things that frankly are just part of this product type. Here are some of my evaluations base upon the 'cons' others have listed. People's Complaints - Honest evaluation "It's loud" - It's a vacuum and it's compact. If you want it to actually pickup dirt it has to be loud "It gets caught in cords and stuff" - As far as I can tell they all do this. It's automated, so you have to ensure the area is safe for it to operate. If you can't do this, don't get a robot vacuum. "no roller/agitator brush" - I found models with them to have limited effectiveness and the maintenance on these was stupidly excessive if you have people with long hair in the house. I had hair actually cut through the soft plastic. "Finishes before covering all areas" - They follow intuitive patterns. It's best to run them often so that all areas get covered regularly. The point is you don't have to if you run it regularly. "Leaves stuff behind (especially on thicker carpet)" - there are some things a battery operated, automated device just can't do. You will still need to manually vacuum thick carpet occasionally. This model also only comes with a basic remote. I appreciate this over the apps. I can control my vacuum without creating an account and going through the manufacturer's systems. Ridiculous for just wanting to vacuum my house. Some other notes: Automated/robot vacuums require maintenance on a regular basis. Dirt builds up and hair wraps around any moving part. Depending upon frequency of use you'll need to do about 30-60 minutes every 3-9 months. Taking off brushes and pulling off wads of hair. Removing the caster and cleaning it out. Deep cleaning the suction port and dust bin. etc... I tried the mop feature once, but it took more effort than I wanted to put into it... There's a reason why I got a robotic vacuum. I don't like to clean.
