  • Awesome Pump!
Size: 1250GPH,32W,13.1FT
The pump is what I always needed for my setup as I needed an adjustable flow. There is nothing wrong with my old pump, but the price and the features prompted me to make this purchase. The pump is quiet and is working as designed.

  • Great pump so far!
Size: 3170GPH,86W,20.3FT
I've been in the saltwater aquarium hobby for over 20 years. I currently have a built in 400 gallon reef aquarium for about the last 6 years. My previous pumps were good and listed as quiet, which they were pretty quiet until I purchased these! I purchased 2, 3170 GPH pumps to run my 400 gallon aquarium, the entire family noticed how much quieter these pumps are! So far for the 2 weeks I've had them I couldn't be happier with the performance especially the quiet performance and the price! Believe me I've dealt with hundreds of pumps/power heads over the last 20 years this one so far is the best I've had! ... show more

  • Failed BUT seller was awsome
Size: 520GPH,20W,9FT
So, this pump is a very nice design and worked great. After about a month it started to run then stop, then run then stop. Contacted Amazon, unfortunately the return window had closed, so I contacted the seller. To put it simple the seller was awesome, they immediately offered to replace the damaged pump. I'm hoping I just got a defective one the first time and the replacement won't fail. ... show more

  • What to do when the Controller is damaged?
Size: 1250GPH,32W,13.1FT
Excelent pump, quiet operation, very good suction. Now, the problem is what to do if for any reason, the controller is damaged? Mine is stuck on 30% of power and I cannot increase its output anymore. Everytime I increase it more than 30%, the pump shuts off and restarts again after a short while. Is the controller damaged? if it is, where can aI get a new one or how to fix it? Please advise... ... show more

  • Poor QC, Cheap construction, and leaks.
Size: 1850GPH,55W,16FT
There are many positive reviews from others, perhaps I got a bad unit. The seals between the hose fittings and the pump inlet/outlets just seem terribly designed, both from the perspective of the actual O-Rings and the sealing surfaces of the pump and fittings. There is barely any material on the inlet side for the O-ring to seal against. I found that consistently when tightening down the nut on the inlet fitting, it would basically squeeze the O-ring out of place rendering it completely useless. The outlet O-ring performed better but was still not ideal. After I was finally able to get the inlet to stop leaking with a lot of time, and silicone RTV, the main pump body seal was leaking! Taking apart the pump body I found that the O-ring for that seal seamed damaged and the sealing surface was scratched up as if the technician who built the pump was using a flathead screw driver to install the O-ring and gauged the sealing surfaces. I tried my best to seal the pump body and used more silicone. Eventually it seamed sealed enough but now the issue is the pump was sucking AIR while running now and was extremely loud because of all the bubbles it was pushing through the housing. ... show more

  • Good head pressure. So far an excellent pump.
Size: 800GPH, 30W,16FT
I have the 800gph hooked up to a 4’x2’x10” lowboy aquarium housing a group of bichir, with an eclipse 800gph overflow and an eshops 75 sump below. Previously I had two separate pumps hooked up to two returns, after one went out it was hard to find a pump with enough power to lift from the sump, but not so much volume that the sump would run dry or the relatively small overflow wouldn’t be able to keep up. This pump is ALMOST too much for the 800gph eclipse overflow to handle, when turned all the way down to its minimum setting. This is surprising because I assumed the max setting would be 800gph, at zero head pressure. But I’ve got approx 6 feet of head pressure and had to turn the pump control all the way down and disconnect the second pump I had hooked up. I’m surprised at the power of this relatively small water pump for the price and I hope it holds up over time because it’s an excellent product so far. ... show more

  • Its been about a year and runs perfecty
Size: 520GPH,20W,9FT
I have this pump installed in my saltwater tank, outside of the water because I wanted to dissipate some of the heat by air and not into the water. So far, there have been no leaks and no failures, speed is constant and I don't need to adjust the overflow. If your pump gets dry during tank maintenance I will recommend to start in low speed, this way it self prime soon, at high speed doesn't self prime... ... show more

  • Weak prime
Size: 800GPH, 30W,16FT
Will take forever to prime. I bought 3 800gph pumps for a small rack and even the one pumping 4ft directly up will not prime, i have adjusted the seal and lubed to impeller still hates priming. Also i will add these things are tiny tiny. Only benefit ive found is the fact it comes with an angled water intake you and put on.(without &with still hates priming) works as it should when actually working but keep in mind it might not reprime after hitting feed or power failure. ... show more
