I finally found a fan I like! Love the style, the size, and the light, actually. I was concerned when I read the reviews indicating the light was too dim but, as you can see, it is perfectly bright for this room (about 12x14 ft). It works really well, and it’s very quiet at at full speed. The remote and its buttons are a bit unpredictable though and, on the slow fan setting, it makes this clicking noise that I truly hope we can fix because that’s our preferred setting . I’ll post an update once we do fix it (or don’t). REVISED: The clicking sound fixed itself. We installed a second fan (52 in) in our family room where it does not look as bright, but it still is an excellent, modern, low profile fan ... show more

    • Love the fan, but it's easy to lose the remote

This fan is very stylish and looks great, but the sleek remote is easy to lose. If you need a replacement, it is: Transmitter and Cradle - K626606000. As per the Hunter Rep, this fan has its receiver built in so you only need the Transmitte (remote).

The media could not be loaded. This is my 3rd ceiling fan install so it went fairly smoothly. The instructions were clear to me, not sure what others were stating that the instructions weren't clear. First one took me about an hour including setting up the ladder and tools, the second one about 45 minutes all in. Not much to report other than the following: Pros: quiet on speed 1 , slight wobble at max speed. Moves an average amount of air but not too much for both a 12 x 10 and 16 x 10 bedroom. Does appear to recall the last setting if the wall light power switch is turned off. Cons: no timer for fan or light. Silver finish on the fan blades scratches very easily. ... show more

    • Nice and quiet!

I installed this fan on Easter weekend and we are now approaching Christmas. My main concern in choosing a fan was the potential noise because I prefer a silent room to sleep in. This fan is great. There is obviously air noise if it's turned up high, but lowering it at night keeps the air moving enough to feel it and reduces the noise significantly. Every now and then there is a clicking that happens that is caused from the wires for the light hitting the blades. I just need to open it up and secure them out of the way which I haven't done. The light isn't super bright so beware if you are wanting that. I am a little concerned about how to replace the donut looking light bulb when it's time, but not enough to research it yet. The installation was easy peasy once I replaced the electrical box to be fan supported (replacing the box is a different story.....check into that before you tear things apart!) I would recommend this fan to anyone! ... show more

This is the second I have ordered. So quiet and fit close to ceiling. Light is not real bright which works for me. I light to leave it on at night as the rooms are rather large that I have them in. I like that they are simple and unassuming. I have one in our den and putting one between kitchen and dining room to replace a can light as the room is 12' wide and 30' long and all one room with a fireplace at the end of dining area. Just felt it needed some circulation as I do cook and bake a lot. Plus there is only 1 A/C-heat register. I ordered the black because my other lights are black and very simple also. I love this fan light!! Remote is small and easy to use. I have installed many lights and fans but I did have a handy man install this. Hard for me with arthritis to do much heavy overhead work any more. ... show more

    • Out of Round Fan Body--Horrible Wobble

The media could not be loaded. This was to be my second Hunter fan. The other one I have is virtually silent at slow speeds so I was looking forward to installing it in the bedroom. But it seems fate is conspiring against me. I bought my second fan in "Used Like new Condition" from Amazon. After installing it I found the included remote was not OEM and did not work with the fan. Amazon quickly agreed to a return and full refund. Then I ordered this one brand new fresh out of the box from Amazon. It is defective. The fan body is out of round creating a terrible wobbling that no balancing is going to fix. No visible damage to unopend box so my sense is it was a manufacturing error. So much for the "Inspected by QO4" sticker on the fan. So now I have to take this one down, box it up and return it too. What a huge waste of my time. Needless to say I'm done with it! ... show more

Installing a ceiling fan is never really fun, and this one was no exception. But it had the important feature of being able to hang the fan at an angle while hooking up the wiring, and that removed a major headache of some other installations, where you would need a partner to help. Once installed, this worked perfectly. It's quiet. It's not super powerful -- with three blades you wouldn't expect that -- but it definitely gets the air moving and cools off the room. We particularly liked the remote. It's small and easy. The light on the fan is plenty bright for cleaning up the room. Light is not dimmable but fan speed is variable.     • Great look, but noisier than it should be

Pros: Love the look of the fan. It's sleek and modern looking. Also the remote control is nice and simple, less ugly than some other fans. Cons: The noise. The first unit I had made a banging sound when it was running. Totally unacceptable, so I called customer support and then sent me a new one. I installed the new one, and the banging sound is gone, however it still makes a wah-wah-wah sound when the fan is running, even on low. It's not crazy loud, but its noticeable since its right above me in my quiet office. I measured 31 dB at my ear level using the "Decibal X" application. The dB measurement isn't all that valuable, except that when I compare it to my other ceiling fans made from a more inexpensive brand, that sound much quieter. I measured around 28 dB on those fans. A 3dB difference between the fans = twice as loud. And it does sound twice as loud as it should. Bottom line: If value looks over quiet, go with this fan. If you like it to run silent, go with the other brand. ... show more
