This printer was beautifully reconditioned, arrived nicely packed in original box. This HP color ink printer produces high quality images and text. Overall, I love this printer and it almost has every thing I was looking for. It was my assumption, I can't blame HP, but there is no rear-feed tray. I bought this printer to replace the one I had for several years. I was excited to get a printer that had been "thoroughly tested" once it was refurbished and before it was offered to potential customers. My adult daughter helped me take it out of the box and set it up on the day it arrived. The first black ink on white paper copy was just fine. The first color copy (and every copy in color after that) had a vertical line where the color was smeared, missing or both. I sent an email message to the seller. They sent me a set of written instructions which I followed to the letter--it did not fix the problem. I found their phone number and called. I was put on hold and then disconnected. I explored the internet and followed the recommendations there--no help. I subscribe to an Office Depot tech service (they are WONDERFUL). They tried to diagnose and fix the problem--that didn't work either. After two or three rounds of emails back and forth and wasting quite literally hours and hours trying this and that, I finally gave up. I assume that many buyers (maybe even most) have had a great experience with this seller. I did not. I have purchased THINGS ONLINE from many companies and sellers, including Amazon, Etsy, eBay, department stores, etc., FOR MANY YEARS. This has to be one of the five worst experiences ever!!! So my advice to anyone who wants to purchase from them is just two words CAVEAT EMPTOR (buyer beware). My only problem with writing this review is that it is impossible to give negative stars--like maybe a minus 2 or 3 of each variable. They certainly do NOT deserve one star in my book. ... show more

Everything works as advertised- this was a pleasurable and excellent purchase. i like the cost for a renewed Item. I like the the printing speed. I do not like getting three updates in 1 hour for the firmware.

Printer looks good, was packaged well, and it set up pretty normally. Issue I have is that the color cartridges are not printing properly, despite the software showing that they are full. These are the ones that came with it, and the regular ones I ordered are arriving tomorrow. Maybe this is because the ink is too cold as it has only been indoors for two hours now. Black is printing normal, so, I am unsure. I would love to know how to report this issue with the seller, instead of the restrictive button choices that do not list my issue. So this thing looks slick, but it starts up like an old jalopy. I only had A4 110lb cardstock on hand and i was getting constant "FALSE" paper jam errors, there was no paper jam anywhere. HP support was no help. What i ended up doing to get it to work was lifting the top sheet up over the back wall of the tray about 1/4" then reinserting the tray. Started off with one copy running a blank sheet through the scan tray above the scanner. (Which will only accept one sheet of cardstock at a time, or it jams, havnt tries normal weight yet.) It took a second but the top sheet in the feed tray was finally picked up and run through. Did this x2 more times then did it a few more times with 3 copies at a time. Slowly the feeding seemed to become more consistent and i didnt have to manually lift the top sheet anymore. This is kinda dumb that you have to struggle like this for a new modern printer, probably why the last guy returned it and i got it for $20 off. So it does run 110lb paper, confirmed. I couldnt find an answer to that online. And it does give false paperjam errors on first setup, but seems to clear up after a few coerced runs. Still need to test different paper types but so far not impressed with the color quality on matte cardstock. ... show more

This product is not worth buying as "renewed." Save yourself the hassle and just buy new. Printer would not recognize the setup ink cartridges so could not proceed with set up or install.
