The printer it self is fast and the print quality is very good. However, The first toner cartridge is nearing replacement. I just found out that HP considers it a business printer. It is not eligible for their Instant Ink program. Instead, they offered me an All in One program, which requires the purchase of a new printer. PROs - Fast Delivery - Great price - HP makes good printers CON's - DOA - HP's website shows the the serial number only had 9 months warranty left on a 1 year warranty when it arrived, was told by HP support on a call that warranty clock starts when it arrives in amazon whse. Who knows if you will have any warranty on a HP product based on that process. - HP repair process is to swap a refurbished unit in place of a new unit or they take on month to ship a new one - Amazon policy is not to replace electronics, that means you can return it but the $90 off sale price is no-longer available Summary, I will not purchase HP from amazon again, but I still plan to get a HP printer ... show more

I am a big fan of HP printers. They always seem to function straight out of the box and are easy to install. This printer is no exception. Quick reliable printing that just works. The downside, printers have not changed designs for MANY years and are kind of antiquated tech that is way past due for an update. The sleep mode serves almost no purpose and has actually caused more issues with the printer not responding and requiring a power cycle to reconnect with the computer. ... show more

This printer was extremely easy to set up and it prints quickly and beautifully. The only drawback that I have with it is that it shuts completely off overnight and I have to remember to turn it back on in the mornings. Print is very clear and good quality. This printer is my primary printer and so far, does a good job. I ordered it on 23 Apr 24 and it came in about three days later. So, I have had it in service less than two weeks. It has some quirks that I have yet to fully understand, but so far it has done a very acceptable job for me. Would I buy it again? Yes. I am disappointed in HP's online "how to" guides to use this printer. HP makes so many different printers that it took a while to find the Laser Jet Pro 4001n "how to" guide. Even after finding it, I felt that it was not what it should be. Some of it seemed to think that the reader was a computer and printer expert. Not so! While this is not my first "HP printer rodeo," a new printer is just that - NEW. The instructions need to be written in a simpler fashion. HP, are you listening?
