Size: 2,100 Gallons Per Hour
Style: Sand Filter Pump
Works great. Easy to use. I bought one last year for my three-tier fountain. Last week I moved it over to my hard side above ground pool deck. Just tossed the outgoing over the side and the water inflow into the water. I am using it for pool bottom floor vacuuming (just connect my vacuum hose). I can
spot vacuum the pool bottom or leave the hose on the pool floor. Then just vacuum to waste. (I replaced my pool hosing with pvc piping - and that suction is too strong for a liner to connect a vacuum). In just a few days, with my main pool filter system and the sand filter system, my pool is clean. I need to buy another one for my fountain.

Great filter. I got this to replace a cartridge filter for our above ground pool. Works so much better, and I no longer need to deal with the expensive cartridge filters!

Used for a 8” stock tank pool and it works great once it is up and running.
Size: 2,100 Gallons Per Hour
Style: Sand Filter Pump
This pump was purchased to build an 8-foot stock tank pool. It arrived well boxed with no damage. Taking the items out of the box and getting everything hooked up was fairly straight forward. Everything you need to get a stock tank pool up and running is in the box except the kit does not come with a
n inlet fitting. So make sure you get a inlet valve when you are setting everything up. Once I got the system hooked up, I ran into the second problem. The website and instruction manual indicates that this filter takes 50 lbs of sand. Which would be a single bag. I had to use one bag and a fraction of another to get sand in the proper fill range. Solving this issue was simple, so I kept cruising along until I hit the third issue. The third issue is I have weather proof in use outlet boxes for all of my outdoor outlets. If you do not know that these are, these are outlet covers that have a box that opens, you can plug in your electrical item, and there is a slot for the cord to come out while you close the box, so everything is protected from the elements. The plug that is on the pump is a plug with a built in GFI, which being around water is a great thing. The issue arises when you go to plug this plug into the outlet, and the plug is longer than a standard outlet box, by about 1/8 of an inch. This required me to dremel out the box just enough to get it close to fitting, and then hand filing the rest while checking frequently to make sure the back end of the outlet fit perfectly through the side of the box and there was not a gap for bugs. Or that you have dealt with all of the minor foibles of getting everything set up, let’s talk about the pump and filter. The pump is strong, moves bunches of water, and is surprisingly quiet. The instructions are clear and simple to follow for the initial backwash and how to set it to start filtering. The timer function is a little clunky, but it comes with a timer and it functions well once it is set, and since this is a set it and forget it type of function, it works as intended. In summary, this is a great pump once you get everything going and it appears that it will work well. My wife is happy with how quiet it is, and in a 8-foot stock tank it generates enough of a current that if you are floating, it will slowly spin you in a circle. I would recommend this system to a friend. I took off one star for not including an entire system in the box (i.e. inlet fitting), having to get 2 bags of sand, and the plug issue.

Great upgrade from the little pump that comes with the pool. Makes the ease of clean up so much better. Simple to set up, no additional parts needed. Small upgrade but the power compared to the stock version is incredible!

BEWARE : WORKED GREAT FOR 6 MONTHS THAN DIED! INTEX IS UNREACHABLE BY PHONE FOR THEIR WARRANTY.
Size: 2,100 Gallons Per Hour
Style: Sand Filter Pump
We bought this in Jan 2020 when the original intex pump died after 3 months and we installed it and it worked great till June 16 2020 when it just turned off for no reason while my husband was in the pool. We checked everything to see if it was an electric issue caused by something. We couldn't find
anything that caused it to turn off. [So we called Assurian as we had bought a 3 yr protection plan for it. They gave us the run around first two times I called and then the 3rd time after asking them to put me through to a manager they put someone on (that did not sound like a manager). She just gave same talking points over and over. I felt sorry for her. But she finally told me the truth unlike the first two girls I spoke with. She said it's a manufacturer warranty for first year they won't do anything first year. So I forced her to stay on phone with me to call Intex as their policy states they will and we waited on the Intex line for over 45 minutes on hold. She finally told me she would refund the $30 plan so I said okay, and let her get off the phone and I remained on the Intex line]. When the Intex hold finally ended, the phone started ringing and ringing with no one picking up. After about 5-10 min of letting it ring I just hung up and looked at the reviews for the Intex pump. I found out people had issue of not getting through by phone or by email as well. I don't know what we are going to do at this point. If we can't get through to Intex and Intex is the only company that makes pumps for their pool, and we can't get the electrical issue fixed on the pump; our pool is going to go green. I don't think I want to sink any more money into Intex.... We are probably around $900+ at this point between 14'x 42" pool and chemicals and replacing the pump and emptying and refilling the pool etc. with no end in sight. If Intex doesn't make quality products that last, I would say THINK TWICE, and know what you're getting yourself into. MANAGE EXPECTIONS... You're pool may not last for a year or more... Is it really worth it? When the pump dies Intex (If they ever pick up the phone lol) would just tell you to ship it to them. Shipping costs more than the pump so what good is that?
