  • Very Impressed
Style: 24-inch Plotter
This is an amazing printer. Like most HP products, the print quality is flawless. I've ALWAYS hated the way HP screws their customers over for toner and ink, not to mention the inflated price of the printer itself, but I still use HP exclusively because of their quality of work. This is my first wide-fornat printer, and so far it's been a great experience. As with most printers, this one came with "starter" ink cartridges, which have actually lasted longer than I expected. I've printed 15 24"x12" signs, and i still have plenty of ink. Set up with the computer (laptop) took about 5 minutes---worked the first time. Very intuitive. It's paper handling (loading the paper, knowing exactly where to cut the paper, not wasting paper) was perfect. The self cutting, motorized blade works every time. My only issue so far is the paper rolls. Finding a 24" wide roll of bright orange paper, with the correct diameter and plugs at each end has been a headache. You cannot simply place a roll of paper on the loader and print. The rolls MUST connect to the motorized feeders (it has to be able to pull/adjust/feed the paper as it sees necessary...it automatically adjusts the skew of the paper, making sure the print is perfectly squared). I suggest for other users/purchasers of this printer, if you find a roll of paper with the right plugs in the ends, keep the plugs when it's done....they are like gold. I've actually sacrificed the last 20 feet of one roll that fits, and I manually roll new paper onto that roll. I'm sure there's a supplier with the right paper and end caps, I just haven't found them. Printer is pretty heavy. Should be installed in one location permanently. The additional HP Paper Feeder (pics attached, for regular paper, 8.5x11, etc) installs and uninstalls with ease. Very convenient. Allows you to use the printer for basically any size from 24" wide down to 8.5" wide. Printer is also wireless (have not tried yet). So far, happy with the purchase. Cannot comment on support (I did purchase HPs extended service contract---for something like this, it's a no-brainer for me). ... show more

  • Margins / Borders Too Wide - Solved
Style: 24-inch Plotter + 2 year Care Pack
Prints fine. I kept getting a 3-4" border I just couldn't get rid of - adjust margins, tried different programs (PS, Acrobat, etc.) - nothing would get rid of that stupid border. I'm printing from a 24" roll. I finally looked at paper size in print settings. I had it set to D size, 22" x 34", so I would always get whatever the minimum margin/border the printer would allow (around 1/2" on the long sides), so with 24" wide paper I kept getting 1" (2 x 1/2") plus the 2" difference between the 24" roll and the D size's 22". Adjusting the paper size in print settings to Super D, 24" x 36" fixed it, for me at least. ... show more

  • So Far Really Happy
Style: 24-inch Plotter
So far really happy with the HP DesignJet T210. I was very surprised at the size of the printer when it arrived. Takes up a whole table. The wireless printing is very fast. The print quality is ok, not outstanding but good for what I need. The instructions were a little lacking, had to go online and watch videos to figure out setup. All in all, it is a good printer for the price. One note for other buyers. I had a bit of a problem with delivery. The printer was shipped directly from Adorama via UPS. The tracking on the Amazon site did not sync with the tracking at UPS. Adorama printed the label and sat on the shipment for three days and updated Amazon's site that the product was shipped. The product actually shipped the day after Amazon promised delivery. Amazon was good to get in touch with Adorama and try to get this practice corrected. Use UPS to track your package directly if buying from Adorama. ... show more

  • NOTHING BUT HEADACHES!
Style: 24-inch Plotter
I want to love this machine. I had the T120 and never had any of the issues Ive had with this T210. Spent 1 1/2 weeks trying to fix installation issues. I tried HP Chat Support, who for whatever reason couldnt manage to distinguish what System Requirements means, versus Operating System compatibility. Had to try 2 separate HP chat support representatives, which wasted about 2 more hours of my time - and ended with both saying same thing - there are no system requirements for this printer to be found anywhere. They couldnt help except to tell me to restart computer uninstall and reinstall drivers. I did on 2 different computers, and still not detected I was able to use my T120 on 3 separate computers no problem, one with Windows 7 and two with Windows 10. After the newer desktop and laptop (windows 10) suffered same issue - software application not detecting the printer, I went to buy new USB cable. Didnt solve. More time wasted. The only computer that allows me to use this printer is the older laptop with Windows 7 on it. I know what people will try to say, You probably downloaded and installed wrong driver. I installed the correct driver package for Windows 10. I sold printers and computers and have built my own gaming rigs for years. I was also a computer programmer for a few years, and even sold electronics (Desktops, laptops, printers, components, accessories, service plans). I am even developing an android app - so its save to say Im technology savvy. And this didnt make sense at all. So, I am forced to print from my old laptop, and with OFFICIAL HP BOND PAPER, I start getting repeated paper jams where cartridges seem to clip the paper and crimp it to where it jams up. If thats not enough headaches, I am now getting prints where only the top half of the print is actually printing, and the bottom half is cut mid print - incomplete. I Will upload photos and videos to prove when I get chance - But Ive already wasted far too many hours with this machine. It literally is a 50/50 gamble of whether or not I will get a good print - I literally have to stand by the machine fingers crossed. I want to love this machine as my T120 served me well, and I still have a 5L Laser Printer thats been with me for over a decade. I am officially throwing in the towel and returning this, because it is currently 3:19 AM as I write this out of frustration, when I should be sleeping. You cannot imagine how much headaches, and sleepless nights this one device has cost me. Retuning and despite being an avid HP user for decades...printers and Laptops, I am going to have to waste more time researching a new plotter printer, after all the headaches this one has caused me. Thank you HP ~ ~ ~ ~ Now its 3:36 AM NOV 1, and Im trying to initiate a return, but amazon representatives have me wasting even more time fumbling me around to different departments now because for some reason she is not trained to return this she says. How much time and sleep will this thing cost me. ... show more

  • HP DesignJet T210 plotter
Style: 24-inch Plotter + 2 year Care Pack
It's doing a fine job plotting my Cad drawings. Would have liked an actual step-by-step manual to guide me through setup, rather than a virtual assistant. Also, a starter pack of paper would have helped.
