I purchased this fan to replace an old Hampton Bay flush mount fan in my bedroom. Let's be clear. The reason I replaced the old fan, was due to a loud humming noise that it made... This Honeywell fan is totally SILENT!! It also has 4 speeds, each which are really silent, with the highest setting having some slight low hum to it, but nothing intolerable. The extra lighting kit is also something I like. The included bulbs are a Warm White colored LED bulb, yet they still produce very clean, and bright light. You will need to purchase Daylight color LED bulbs, if that is your preference. The fan also uses standard light socket bulbs, which is good, as they easy to come by both in stores and online. It was easy to install and it so quiet. The best part is the 4 lights and that it is low profile and snug to the ceiling. I did change the light covers to a add some bling to the room.

We’ve now bought 5 of these to replace all of our 25 year old fans. They are SO easy to mount! They perform well too. Not unbalanced like the ones at the big box store. Great look too. I am hopeful they will last 25 years…

The first fan I purchased was noisy and you actually had to spin it by hand to start it rotating. I had been ill and did not get it installed until time passed the Amazon return period. When I spoke to an Amazon customer service rep she brought a Honeywell CSR on the phone as well. Their CSR wanted a video of the fan noise and I obliged. I asked her for her phone number so I could be able to get in touch with her if needed. She told me that she could not do that but said she would get back in touch after the video was reviewed. SHE NEVER GOT BACK TO ME! Amazon then replaced the fan and the second one is perfect. ... show more

This fan blended right into ceiling. I have 8 foot ceilings so needed a ceiling hugger fan. My room is really dark but not any longer the bulbs included are very bright. Looks great too. I plan to replace 2 other fans with this fan
