Honestly, this thing is incredible. The instructions were simple but very easy to follow. I bought a really large size so I did need help a few times getting it put together, but only really because you need someone in each end to get it all balanced, bot because it was heavy or difficult to install. It looks really expensive and it makes a big difference on the major glare I get if my patio doors. I'm really looking forward to having this help too beat the heat all summer. Don't hesitate, you'll really be happy you spent the money on this.

When ordering a 10’ x 10’ awning, I would assume it would extend out 10’ to cover my patio. After assembling (with terrible, picture-only directions included!), I found that the lever arm will only allow the awning to extend out about 5’. Further cranking causes the front end to angle down to the ground rather than extending out the full distance. It is not functional for the size advertised. I ordered 3, and returned two. I’ll find a use for the one I assembled, even though it will not be for my planned use (only because I don’t want to disassemble it after the time it took to assemble). Very disappointed!

This awning is awesome. 5 stars unless something unexpected happens. I like it so much I ordered another to finish covering my patio. Assembly was fairly easy. I saw another review that said use a table to put the awning together, worked to perfection. Thank you. When you thread the awning on, screw one end of the rods for the top together first, thread your awning on, then thread the second piece onto the awning and screw them together. The rest is easy. I did it with 2 people and you will need at least 2. I bought the 118"x118. Love it love it love it.

It's been a year since I purchased this awning for my balcony. It's still up and functioning with the one complaint being that the sun has bleached the fabric slightly. My balcony faces West and in the summer afternoons the balcony is scorching hot and the glass sliding door would cause a greenhouse effect in my living room. It has helped lower the indoor temperature dramatically and I can use and enjoy my balcony in the afternoons. My neighbors like it and have asked where I got it from.

We wanted some shade for our patio when its cool enough to relax outside. We also needed some shade on the turf to keep it cooler for our dog to be able to walk on. This did the trick. I am pleasantly surprised at how it has held up in the wind.
