Stand by. This might get a little long. The turnaround to get the charger was quick. I ordered on a Saturday and it arrived on Tuesday. Scheduled installation of a 240V outlet. No problems there. I needed customer support to help get it registered. The app works great, but... When installing and setting up your account, make sure that you select the proper country. Yeah, I know, but I was at the dealer buying my car and I might have been a little distracted. This was the root cause of my issues. I had to create a new account with a different email address to complete setup. Here are some of the things to keep in mind. If you use a VPN, you might want to set it up by turning off wifi on your phone and setting it up as a hot spot. Then connect your EVSE to your hotspot to complete the setup. Once complete, you can change it back to your home network. Don't forget to turn off the hot spot when you are done. Conducted a quick charge to test out. Charged from 60-90% in just over 2 hours. The charge rate was 9.6kW or ~40 amps. This compares to the 6kW (32a) that is available at work. Work charging is free, so that is nice. If you want more than 40amps, you will need to hard wire it. I didn't go this way because a hard wired installation requires permits in my state. Anyway, I am happy with the charger so far, it is fairly easy to use, it is well built, app integration is good and if you have a 240v outlet available, you only have to mount it with 3 screws. We added this level-2 charger to our garage to charge my wife's new i4 (great car BTW). This was an easy install and it works great. I had our electrician add a 6-50 outlet to a 50 amp breaker and the rest was as simple as mounting the charger to the wall and plugging it in. This at home charger is A 100% necessity if you have an electric vehicle. Not only is the charging insanely fast and not expensive at all, it has the most convenient app with it to keep track of it and to schedule it with the cheapest times literally everything about it is perfect. My electrician installed it for free when installing the needed port so you'll need to make sure you have a 50 amp port or a 40 amp with the nema 1450 plug if you decide to buy that specific one, and having got that specific one it's amazing. The only minor thing is it's kind of wiggly on the wall even when it's fully screwed in but as long as it doesn't fall off that's fine. Honestly all together I like it! ... show more

After reading countless reviews I elected to purchase the Phargepoint Flex charger. I had it professionally installed which took about 3 hours. Be sure to check the current capabilities and Amperage limits of your electrical box as this draws a considerable amount of power. I have it placed on the wall between our two garage doors and the length of the charging cord is perfect to reach both of our vehicles. We flipped a coin, and one gets to charge on even days, the other on odd days. with the full 48 Amps of charging both of our vehicles charge from 20-80% in about 5 hours. Love the online interface and statstics it provides. Set up was easy and it already had knowledge of the different rate plans by my energy provider. It schedules perfect to take advantage of the late night EV rate offered. We plug in after we are done for the day and the Charger and Cars control the rest automatically.
