I had to replace an existing ChargePoint Home charger I purchased in 2016 due to failing electronics. The Home Flex is essentially the same charging station I purchased in 2016, except that it allows for higher amperage and faster charging, and it is now sold with a NACS plug option. The latter is a bonus for Tesla owners and other EV brands that include a NACS port, avoiding the need to use an adapter. My impression so far is good. It was easy to install the new charger using the same screw holes in the wall studs. I purchased the Home Flex with NEMA 6-50 plug, so the installation was literally “plug and play”. Connecting the charger with the phone app was a challenge because the phone app wouldn’t allow me to remove the old charger, so I had to call ChargePoint service line for them to remove it for me. Not sure why the app didn’t allow me to do that, since it’s shown as a function in Settings, but maybe the old charger’s electronics were preventing it (the ChargePoint technical assistance was very helpful and professional, by the way). Then I had to log out and log back in to install the new charger. In terms of cost, the ChargePoint Home Flex is about $100 less than the Tesla charger, and the latter doesn’t offer a plugged option-only hard wired. If you have an existing 220V receptacle, a plugged option will save anywhere from $200-$500 by avoiding the need to hire an electrician to install the wiring and connect the charger. Lastly, my town utility department provides a rebate for ChargePoint chargers (but not for Tesla chargers), so my net cost was $0.

We ordered an NACS version of the charger. The box was for an NACS version, but the actual cord was a J1772, not compatible with my car. My electrician installed the device on my house and when I went out to test it on the car we realized it was a J1772 cable. I contacted this 3rd Party Seller (despite Amazon saying “ChargePoint store”) to try and get a refund or the part sent to convert it and they said that I needed to speak to ChargePoint as it was under warranty. I spoke to ChargePoint after an hour of holding for them to tell me that the warranty was for defective items, and this wasn’t defective - it was just wrong, and that I needed to either return the item to the Amazon store or buy the J1772 > NACS converter kit from their website for $200. Since the device is mounted and installed on my house, I can’t return it - so I will be biting the bullet, spending $200 for the converter kit, and then paying my electrician to come out and fix the device. Piss poor customer service and they are blatantly at fault here for sending the wrong device.

Tried to get an "official" install of a Tesla charger at home. Instead found this and was really easy. Had an electrician install a 50-amp receptacle and the rest was easy to do. Love the smart features and the ability to track costs and schedule charging for off peak hours. The quality of the product is really great too, love the soft and easy to manipulate charging cord. Recommend this solution for all tesla owners.

I can't get this to connect on bluetooth to run setup process. Multiple calls with customer service and no luck. They sent me a second unit and it still won't connect. Customer service appears to be helpful but they are relatively useless and each successive person contradicts what the previous person said. Check out the comments on connectivity and related issue on reddit and other places before buying this product.
