Setup was very simple. I didn't have any problems or anything missing. The Styrofoam is pretty thin so be easy while removing the bottom of the incubator because it can break. You want to keep it just in case it gets to cold. The display is nice and easy to operate the incubator. The light works well for candleing your eggs. This is my second incubator and I'm so excited for it. I got it set up easily, maybe from experience of already owning one since I noticed some people didn't think the instructions were great. But I didn't have an issue. My chicken eggs fit in nicely and it comes with a little book to let you know how long to incubate different egg types if you aren't familiar. One of my favorite parts is the water bottle feature to keep humidity up because in my old incubator I had to manually add water periodically. So this feature is awesome!! It hasn't been 21 days yet so I can't attest to the hatchability rate but so far so good! ... show more

The functionality of this design is great. I have no complaints with how everything works. The biggest draw back is the way that the lid connects the wire to the motor on the base. This will probably wear out over time. The motor is connected by one tiny screw the is likely to strip out of the plastic over time as well. On the positive side the incubator does work well. It keeps temps solid with the included foam. Humidity levels also stayed constant. It was very easy to put together. I have a handful of these I have been collecting to build my fleet of chicks! So I have a good grasp on how these all compare to each other. In summary.. Great design outside of the wire lazy construction of the actual unit. I still give 3 stars as it does do its job well and is a decent value. ... show more

This incubator is very easy to put together. The instructions are simple to follow. Everything worked perfectly when I tested it. I tested it with three different sizes of chicken eggs, and it worked fine for all sizes. One nice feature is the candling light on top to see if the eggs are fertilized or not. Another nice feature is the accessory where you fill a water bottle and attach it to keep the humidity constant. It comes with a handy book which shows you how many days you need to incubate different types of eggs (duck, goose, pigeon, chicken, etc.). You can plug it in, or if you are in a remote area without power, there is an adaptor to run it off a 12 volt battery. This is a nice incubator with good functionality, and I highly recommend it. ... show more

I purchased this and started to try it out. I put it together as the manual says and my incubator had two holes for the water tubing. It does not specify which hole to use and when used the water pours out of the other hole. Also it says if you have any issues to email the seller. They provide NO email. It seems that my incubator is missing the plastic caps that would go on the hole that is not attached to the water hose. It leaks water.

this 16 egg incubator has been perfect for our clover buds. They have been waiting daily for the baby chickens to hatch. Being young and in 4H this has been teaching them that it takes paticene and time for the baby egg to become a chicken. It is easy to load and the eggs are cradled nicely to be turned daily. I can recommend this incubator for the 4H kids. we have had a great time with it. ... show more
