(Hint: Insert the lid at 90 degrees to pot handle, then rotate to align with handle and secure). Made a full batch of brown rice in 20 minutes instead of 1.5 hours in my rice cooker. Sweet! Will be great for fall squashes and stews. Very pleased. The media could not be loaded. Our pressure cooker rubber seal broke last week and after an unsuccessful search of the rubber ring online for my model, I decided to replace the cooker and so went for this. I was using the Prestige cooker for years. Hawkins is a leader of utensils in India and so thought of trying this one. These are light comparative to my old cooker but I guess that's good and makes it easy to use. However, these are well built and feels sturdy being light. My 2 cents below: Pros: - Well built overall. Finishing looks good from each and every end - Functional pressure cooker. Hold pressure pretty well and great for cooking - Seems sturdy and would last long - These are light in weight. Not as heavy as my old cooker - Reasonably priced pressure cooker for a 3-liter capacity Cons: - Probably exterior finish could have been matt finish instead of shining one as hard water spots are visible on shining aluminum ... show more

Nice small pressure cooker, works well and parts are readily available. Major issue for me: Hawkings required current, valid credit card information to register warranty. A risky request, out of the question for me. So of course, I have no warranty. It's not a big ticket item, so I kept it. Unfortunate but true. ... show more

Wow. The new modern pressure cooker! I am now able to enjoy meals during the week that I usually only cook once in awhile on weekends or buy at a restaurant which costs me more $. Meat stews, curry stews, beans, etc. that take hours are done in 30 minutes or less! The 2L size is perfect for a single serving or two of my favorite foods. I use a timer to regulate steam release. I save a lot of fuel on my Coleman stove by using this little pressure cooker. Love it. Mine "whistles" a lot louder than in the videos I have seen, but it works great.

i use a few times a week, the pressure sensor plug broke after two months of use. I will try to get replacement part for it. Still has value, I would recommend with the caveat that you'll be replacing parts.
