It’s a pretty good product. I’m sure it would work better for freshwater. I almost expect to have replace most things earlier in South Florida. The size is good as is the height. Durability is not good in saltwater over time. It’s easy to install but functionality you have to keep it lubricated or it’s noisy. ... show more

PRO: 1. Works great, sturdy and is perfect height for the front of the boat. 2. You can use this for other applications, make a custom rolling stool, etc. 3. Arrived on time, and is $2 cheaper than the B Pro shop. CON: 1. Yeah, a little bit of rust, strange, but it's there. 2. So I sprayed this down with a nice thick coat of WD-40 or grease and working well. OTHER: 1. BUY if you need for that perfect height, strength, etc. 2. DO NOT BUY if you don't take care of your gear, i.e. store outside, I think it'll rust a bit. ... show more
