I'm reviewing this from the perspective of somebody who doesn't know much about cryptocurrency. I think one of the worst things I could do is make a bad decision because of ignorance. I really don't want to do that. This crypto world has so many options so I got this and decided to jump. I had no reason to pick this OneKey over any other crypto wallet. This came in a sealed box. Very, very sealed. I had to bust the seal to open it and the back of the box, near the seals, says that it's not returnable because of the factor of the product's security. Once I opened it, I encountered more security seals, then warnings about keeping everything private. If I wasn't nervous before, I sure am now! I've gone from crypto ignorance to feeling like I'm trying not to set something off. At this point I had to research this wallet before going any further. Everywhere I went on the internet about OneKey gave me more confidence about this product. There is no hidden programing that will compromise your personal information because it's open-source. (I didn't even know what that meant, but basically it means that it's recipe isn't hidden so you know all the ingredients and nothing got slipped in there that shouldn't be in there. This wallet also doesn't share information, which, if I understand correctly, makes it a "cold" wallet, which is more secure. This is also listed as one of the top crypto wallets by many different knowlegeable people. So, I'm finding out that I have a very good wallet. The wallet itself is very nice. There I said it. I use a ledger nano x, i still do. They're a good reliable company but the hardware device itself have some flaws especially those buttons. And I think the usb flash drive style is outdated. But here's OneKey Classic, i like the current form factor, just a slim credit card size hardware device that has almost the same features as a ledger nano x. With bluetooth functionality, it can easily pair with the OneKey app. It's also built-on open source code and a hardware secure element for security. You can also use and pair this with almost any device or platform such as iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux or even ChromeOS, they are all supported. It's even compatible with third-party wallets such as metamask, Trezor web wallet, Bitcoin Core + Specter and many others. So you don't have to worry even if OneKey goes out of business as your assets will be unaffected since your funds are stored on the blockchain, not on OneKey, and you can easily recover them by importing the mnemonic into a wallet that implements the BIP39 protocol. There's a lot more to unpack here but if you're looking for a hardware wallet or a ledger nano x alternative, this is the one. ... show more

    • Great concept
This is a pretty great concept. A hardware wallet to protect your cryptocurrency from internet accessibility. The interface on this is a little bit difficult to use, and it feels kind of flimsy and cheap. It is very thin though, I think they were going for "credit card" size as much as possible, but I would not keep this in my actual wallet. I tried to connect this to my PC at first, but no matter what I would do, my PC would not detect it. The manual and online instructions say that it works over the USB connection, but the unit I received would not connect to any computer I tried plugging it in to. It did work fine over the BLE connection to my iPhone though, but I would've preferred using it on my PC. I also thought it was a little weird that they have a separate app for firmware updates. The hardware is "allegedly" open source, as in the source code is available, but if it isn't something you put together entirely yourself, you need to trust that the code that is available, is indeed the code that is running on it. It overall seems pretty good, I just wish it would connect to my PC, and I also wish that it supported XMR. On their website it shows that XMR is supported in one of the wallets that work on PC, but again, I couldn't get it to connect. ... show more
