I used it to charge my car in the street. I have three EV's. due to one being a full size pickup and not fitting in the garage, I have to extend the garage charger to behind the truck in the driveway. This works like a charm. I have a 48 AMP charger but this cord appears to handle it despite I beleive being rated for only 40 AMPS? whatever the case, works great.

This cable has been working fine, but we had a day of rain and now the head of the plug has enough water inside you can hear it sloshing around! The cable end sits in a holder against the wall when not in use. I can't get the water to drain, and now I just have to let this sit outside in the sun for days and hope it dries out. I'm not sure if it's even safe to use now!!!

This cable is well built and comes with a nice case to keep it in the car if needed for trips or hard to reach charging stations. I changed electric car late last year and went from a charging port in the front of the car to rear of the car. My charger is located in the front of the garage so I had to back in with the new car so the charging cable would reach. Well this was a simple fix to extend the cable so I can pull straight in if I want. Handles 40 amps no problem.

Cable is good quality and seems to be well built on both ends. Connectors click and seat well. It works as it should, but I would be very leery pushing 48A through it. Compared to the factory cable on my Emporia charger, this one is probably half the diameter or less. I'm not going to cut it open, but I'd be really surprised if it were truly 8AWG conductors in there. All my vehicles charge at 30A though (mostly PHEV vehicles), so this isn't a big deal to me. The cord is decently lightweight and flexible. So pretty easy to move around the driveway.
