This cable is well built and comes with a nice case to keep it in the car if needed for trips or hard to reach charging stations. I changed electric car late last year and went from a charging port in the front of the car to rear of the car. My charger is located in the front of the garage so I had to back in with the new car so the charging cable would reach. It’s smaller diameter than I was expecting, but used it on 32 amp charger and did fine. It didn’t heat up or have any issues. My other charger pushes 40 amp so I will use it and see how it goes. Instructions say rated at 40. Plugs seem well made, nice carry bag. Affordable and will give me a lot of flexibility on parking at my home. Based on my limited use, I would recommend. ... show more

This is one of those things that, as an electric vehicle owner, it is really useful to have around. In our case, this extension cable allows us to charge a vehicle in the driveway without pulling into the garage. When plugged into our JuiceBox 40 going into a Kia EV6, we lost only about 0.1 kw in our charging rate versus going from the EVSE straight into the car.     • Works OK, gets a bit warm under heavy load
Ever come across someone blocking the EV charger and wanted to just double-park them and charge anyway? Well, here you go! This cable's plenty long and seems heavy enough, though it does get a little warm toward the higher end of its current rating. Appears to be made from a standard J1772 cable attached to a panel-mount female receptacle, which seems to be the typical construction of these. If using this in public, I'd probably recommend the J1772 locking rings to deter theft or unauthorized disconnection. ... show more
