There is a lip inside the little housing unit so it is easy to block puppies in when momma needs to use restroom and have a break. The ample dores and access make this feel comfortable as a breeder yet private for less stress. The thick plastic under the house is great for placing pee pads and wiping up after puppies and I put down a large liner below to wipe clean as well. I love having the ramp to provide puppies with something to climb on and being agility at a younger age supervised as well as the space they'll have to romp about enclosed as this breed climbs like cats and fall in a normal household, so this is a safer feature with easier access than basic dog kennels and indoor runs. It definitely was not made for this but it gives me a chance to let the cats safely spend a few minutes outside everyday. If I’m out in the yard and can’t watch them closely they can sit for a bit and get some air without the worry of them getting into the busy street. I have a small patio and it fits great without making things feel too cramped and it is so cute too. Usually I only put one cat in at a time but they both wanted out so kind of staged to photo and they look like they are in cat jail. The assembly was easy but like the other reviews have said you have to drill pilot holes on some pieces. Don’t skip this step, they boards just crack if you do. I had one panel come with split wood but it was a clean break and I just used wood glue and a clamp to fix it before assembling the rest. It was no biggie and definitely not worth returning for that. I would suggest checking everything BEFORE you commit to building it bc once you invest the time, then find the mistakes it’s sort of not worth it to go back and pack it all up again. I feel like I am happy with my purchase because I am getting use of this but I’m not sure if I would buy it again or if I would rather just find a large crate or catio. ... show more

This is a sweet hutch, was easy to assemble, and my bunny loves it—especially the hideout on top. That said, it is made of quite soft wood (cedar I believe) and thin cage wire. If used outside, a predator would easily get through it. Inside, however, there is no floor so you’ll need an extra piece of wood or plastic under it to protect your floors. ... show more

It's really cute and the top part keeps cool but after 4 months our 2 rabbits has destroyed it. They do get exercise and has chewing sticks but keeps gnawing on the wood, screws in the ramp got exposed and had to be removed, they chewed one of the frames holding the top floor causing it to patly fall down, it might be suitable for something smaller but I wouldn't recommend it for rabbits ... show more
