Overall this tarp is thick and sturdy. However, the King-A-Ma-Jigs tarp is advertised as being 8'x10', which is EXACTLY the size I need to cover my camper before embarking on a trip, but in reality, the tarp is 7'4"x9'4". According to the "About" section on Amazon (the field that one would need to click to expand- not the initial "about" section at the top), and the label on the package (which one would need to zoom-in on to read the smaller lettering), the tarp has a "Finish Size" that is smaller than the advertised size. Why wouldn't the tarp be advertised as it's actual size? Who cares what size it was before the edges were cut and seemed? It's not like a pair of trousers, where you can just bring down the hem line. I also purchased another tarp by a different company, and I double checked the fine print; the other company's tarp is precisely the advertised size. King-A-Ma-Jigs has falsly advertised this product, and as a result, I now have a tarp that I cannot use for its intended purpose. ... show more

    • Deceptive Labeling
Size: 6' x '8'
This tarp is labeled as 6'x8' in large print, highlighted in a contrasting color. In smaller print, among other items, the 'finished size' is listed as 5'6"x7'6". I find this to be intentionally deceptive. I understand that it may be industry practice to label a tarp based on its 'cut size' and 'finished size', after reinforced edges are added. I understand that the actual size is indeed listed on the product packaging, though significantly less conspicuously than the 'cut size'. I understand that most tarps are constructed from rolls of tarp fabric that come in specific cut widths. Despite this, I find it to be intentionally deceptive packaging and product description. The 'finished size' is not listed in the main description of the product, only further down in the details. Call it what it is. Not what it was before edges are reinforced. If it's a cost issue because raw tarp material is wasted to achieve an actual 6'x8' size, then I'll pay a few extra dollars for it. ... show more

    • Poorly Constructed and not Heavy Duty

Thought I found a bargain replacement for my 3yo Home Depot heavy duty tarp. Same specs as the HD tarp- 10mil, rope reinforced hems, reinforced corners, metal grommets, etc. I used the HD tarp for ~ 3 years on most summer weekends as a shade cover, and it finally started to tear at (1) of the seams. I used this new tarp for (1) weekend, and several grommets started to tear out. I can also see daylight through (1) of the seams, that indicates to me that the seam won't last long. Several other grommets were mis-aligned with the fatory-punched holes in the tarp material, so that you can see open partial holes next to the grommets. This tarp is also lighter weight than the HD tarp, which makes me believe that it's not really 10mil. This is not a heavy duty tarp, maybe medium duty at best, and it is not well made. ... show more

Well, the title "Heavy Duty" is not how I would describe this poorly made tarp. The first time I attached a bungee to the tarp material it pulled out of the grommet. The 18 inch apart grommet placement is incorrect. I am using this as a pedal boat cover and the grommet placement is not consistent and is not even the same on each side. If it was 18 inches there would be 6 grommets on each side but there are actually 7 on each side. I will keep looking for a more "Heavy Duty" tarp! ... show more

The package arrived as scheduled. Used Prime so quick receiving the tarp. It is not a heavy duty tarp. I wish I had paid closer attention to the weight of it. For the cost it will serve its purpose for now but I don’t expect it to last long. It looks just like pictures. Size was exact. I would recommend this item for purchase. I had previously ordered the same brand but size 10x12 and with 10 mil thickness. It work great. So I decided to go with the same brand / product but needed a smaller size this time so I ordered 8x10 and also with 10 mil of thickness. But that’s not what was delivered, the product is very thin feels more like 5 Mil and the measurement was actually 7.5 x 9.5 nothing as described or what the label indicated when delivered. ... show more

I like the sturdy grommets but the 10 mil is flimsy. Think about the weight of a good contractor garbage bag and add a little more. Would not hold up well going down the road covering something in your pickup. It was my fault as I did not pay attention and thought I was buying 10 OZ instead of 10 MIL. THE TITLE SAYS 6' X 8' AND THAT'S WHAT I WANTED. TURNS OUT, IF YOU READ FURTHER INTO THE DESCRIPTION, THE FINISH CUT IS 5.5' X 7.5'. PERSONALLY, I FEEL IT'S FALSE ADVERTISING.
