Really great product! This is the best of everything in one EVSE!!! High power, small, portable, and a great Wifi enabled Smart EVSE! PROS: -Portable design for travel, but comes with mounting and holsters for everyday use in garage. Best of both worlds. -40amp Charging (9.6kW theoretical MAX) on a 50AMP Circuit! (Usually I get about 9.4kW!) -Plugs in with NEMA 14-50 outlet or use the adapters at many RV sites and home outlets! -Has ability to set Current (Amps) exactly to what you want! (ex: 1-40, and AUTO) -GRIZZL-E Connect App works well and allows you to share access to the charger, I do this with my neighbor so I can reimburse him as we both use the same charger in the garage for our EV's -Makes it very easy to run a report between custom date ranges which exports data which can be sorted by person in Excel or Google Sheets, also calculates exact cost of charging sessions which is cool! -Comes with a bunch of adapters for travel! I bought the NACS cable figuring I had an adapter already and could use them together to charge my J-1772 enabled vehicle at levels 1 or 2. However, you apparently cannot use the Mini connect that comes with the NACS plug and then add an NACS to J-1772 adapter to charge a J -1772 Chevy Equinox. I believe the Equinox is looking for a Tesla Supercharger to electronically "shake hands" with when the adapter is plugged in because you must uncover the CCS fast charge pins to connect the NACS adapter. When it doesn't find a Supercharger, the Chevy shuts off the charging session. Tech support did not know this and was never able to figure it out. After more than a month of documenting the behavior of the car and charger and dozens of photos documenting different components of the process and even a required filming of the event, the techies still had no definitive answer. I should have just returned it to Amazon before the return window expired. Now tariffs or the threat of tariffs have driven the price up by 25%. Grizzl-E will not exchange it for the other type of cable. It does work with a Tesla however. Update. After pleading my case to tech support and asking for them to review their handling of it, (and asking to escalate if they still decided they couldn't help me out), they allowed me to exchange the NACS cable for a J-1772 cable and that one works great with my Chevy. Bought this as a replacement for a charger that did not hold up to the midwestern winters. It has held up well to extreme cold temperatures, as long as it handles the extreme heat as well I’ll be recommending this charger to everyone! The Wi-Fi stuff is kind of gimmicky but has come in handy. Only once the charger failed to connect to the car which we realized late at night. Instead of going out into the cold I was able to reboot the device from my phone, and the charger connected as soon as it came back up!

After about 6 months of use approximately 2-3 times weekly my charger experienced plug melting and electrical burn smell from the charge box itself. After contacting customer service I was told I was plugging it in wrong or my outlet was the issue. Had the electrician that installed the outlet come and inspect it and it’s perfectly fine. United chargers will not even consider there is even an issue with their product. So now I’m out $400 and all they will consider is a discount on a new charger. I would not recommend purchasing from this company that refuses to stand behind their products. After many back and fourth emails the company still insists that I plugged my charger in improperly and the outlet is probably loose. They continue to insist their product is fine even though they have not looked at it. The latest representative Salfaraz said the outlet has to be loose. I’ve never encountered a Nema 14-50 outlet that is lose. It takes effort to insert a plug and they are secure.

So far this charger is working great! I had been on the fence about getting a portable charger or a built in charger. I'm glad I went with the portable style (with multiple plug options to fit many different styles of outlets). We've already taken it with us to charge away from home.

I was so excited to get this and impressed by the heavy duty cords and overall package. Unfortunately, I need a J1172 charger and was sent a Tesla charger instead. Amazon customer service says there are no more J1172s available so I can’t exchange it for another Grizzl-e and I’ll have to get something else instead. But based on the build quality alone, this would have been a keeper! It feels like it will last a lifetime.
