UPDATE: 12/2025 they have updated the app where it now notifies you when charging has stopped which is super helpful if you like me share a charger between multiple EVs! Also added some cool features where you can monetize your charger if it was in a public area! 9 months with this charger and it has been rock solid. Really great product! This is the best of everything in one EVSE!!! High power, small, portable, and a great Wifi enabled Smart EVSE! PROS: -Portable design for travel, but comes with mounting and holsters for everyday use in garage. Best of both worlds. -40amp Charging (9.6kW theoretical MAX) on a 50AMP Circuit! (Usually I get about 9.4kW!) -Plugs in with NEMA 14-50 outlet or use the adapters at many RV sites and home outlets! -Has ability to set Current (Amps) exactly to what you want! (ex: 1-40, and AUTO) -GRIZZL-E Connect App works well and allows you to share access to the charger, I do this with my neighbor so I can reimburse him as we both use the same charger in the garage for our EV's -Makes it very easy to run a report between custom date ranges which exports data which can be sorted by person in Excel or Google Sheets, also calculates exact cost of charging sessions which is cool! -Comes with a bunch of adapters for travel! Had to return the first one I purchased because the screws snapped off on the casing, but the company sent me a return label and a replacement charger pretty expeditiously. I’ve heard a lot about these charges so I decided on this brand for its reputation. It works great! Level 2 charging is perfect. I do wish it had a timer instead of a schedule, but maybe in the future? Apple Home integration would make it perfect. It’s a solid piece of equipment and easy to use.

Generally happy so far. Would not connect to charge with a 2026 Rivian R1s when used in "app mode", but when reverted to its basic mode it works fine. (I have not pursued a solution because it's doing what I need although app mode would be more convenient.) This seems to be a common complaint about the Grizzl-e based on what I have seen. FWIW, I purchased an off-brand portable charger at the same time for comparison (about 1/2 the cost of the Grizzl-e) and could not get it to connect either, but the instructions were so bad that I couldn't get it to switch modes at all so returned it. Comparing the two side by side, the Grizzl-e was better built. Heavier gauge cord, heavier duty/more robust looking connectors. I do not regret spending more.

The unit has a large plug and functioning lights to let one know what is going on. The big thing is it comes with enough connectors to handle and ev charger on the road. You won’t get stuck not having the proper connector to handle the charge. The cord length is good and car reach the vehicle from the install spot on the wall. Charging is much quicker then level one.

I bought this charger 6 months ago. It connected from my garage outlet to my car in my driveway, as my car can’t fit in the garage. When I plugged it in, it dragged along the asphalt a little, not a ton. It completely stopped working after 6 months. I contacted customer support, and they wrote a super rude response accusing me of mistreating the charger. I politely responded. I tried for over a week to get someone to respond to me with a solution. All I got was that they needed me to open the charger and take a photo, but it wouldn't open. Finally, after over a week, another person got back to me and told me I needed to mail it back, but they wouldn’t pay for shipping. At no point did they communicate kindly at helpfully. Every communication was terse and some even rude. I will never buy from this company again, and I will be sure to pass this on to anyone who needs advice on car chargers. Please choose another company.

I originally bought the Grizzl-e Classic, but returned it because I could not find a suitable place for it to anchored on my garage wall due to the heavy and unwieldy cable. Problems solved with the Grizzl-e Mini. Much lighter and compact package than the classic. A great deal of flexibility to hang it with cables coming out of opposite ends versus the Classic where they are both protruding from the top of the unit. Comes already set for 40 amps. Literally plug and play. 3 screws to anchor the unit holder. On top of it just working, the extras are unbelievable! 4 different plug types that are affixed with Velcro. A holster for the plug is also included. And the heavy duty carrying bag with built in Velcro straps for cable management looks like something from Apple. The mini comes with a 3 year warranty. Recently saw a YouTube video where the Mini was subjected to extreme heat and cold, and purposefully run over by a truck. It came away unscathed and in perfect running order. Very pleased with my purchase. A+++

I bought this because of the adapters and ability to reduce amperage output via the app and physical DIP switches. The 25 ft output cord is another great feature, many other options only have 20 ft.
