I bought this for cold-start baking for bread shaped as a bâtard. The pan works just fine for this purpose. One thing that wasn't so great: the strapping tape used to keep the pan and lid together during shipping is hard to remove. It took quite a bit of scrubbing to get rid of every trace of adhesive plus those little strings that are in strapping tape. If the manufacturer is reading these reviews: Consider using the kind of painter's tape that is plenty sticky, but is still pretty easy to remove and leaves almost no residue. ... show more

I’ve used these since I was a teenager and I still love them. A couple bits of wisdom- These pans can dent easily and that can make it lose the coating. Don’t use Brillo Pads or anything tough because it will scratch off the coating. Use just a Dobie pad or elbow grease and a sponge to clean anything that doesn’t come right off. ... show more

I bought this for hosting my first Thanksgiving dinner at my home (2022), and I got a turkey smaller than the 10-pound capacity advertised. I think 8 pounds should be the limit with the shape of the lid being so flat. The turkey fit fine in the bottom of the roaster, but the top would not fit all the way down to create a seal. I ended up having to create a makeshift foil lid to keep in all the moisture. Gave it 4 stars because the construction of the bottom was fine (just wish the lid was a bit more domed), and I'll try to find an even smaller bird next year to fit. Turkey was still excellent, tender, and not at all dry. I'm looking forward to trying it out for just turkey legs or to roast a whole chicken. ... show more
