The pressure canner works as it should. Once up to temperature it's easy to stabilize with heat adjustment. The draw back is the jar basket is not stainless, it started to rust after only 4 or 5 uses. I guess we'll see how hard and expensive it is to find a suitable replacement.

    • The pressure weights get stuck leaning to one side
I used this canner to do canning, I used it once and it was great. This second batch kind went wrong the pressure weight would lean to one side and get stuck, I just don't think my food will be safe if the pressure is being released like that. I would think a regular automatic pressure control would be better like what is on the mirro canners. But then what do I know ... show more

We were very reluctant to use a pressure cooker, but this product got us past that. It is very easy to use. We use it for canning. It Appears to be safe when using it properly.     • Great pressure canner BUT...
I've had this cancer for 7 years and I use it for both pressure and water bath canning (on my ceramic cooktop-- just gotta be careful not to slide it and to set it down gently). I love it and have had zero problems with it. The BUT... you can no longer get a replacement pressure regulator for it! I had put mine in a really stupid place instead of inside the came like I usually do and looked into buying a replacement and it's not available. (You can buy replacements for everything else.) Fortunately I found the regulator (phew!), but just be fore warned of you purchase this canner. ... show more
