I am 69 years old and was able to assemble by myself. I did need my husbands help to stand it up and adjust the height. Appears to be nicely made. However part “M” is bent. We will try to find one at the hardware store.

Took a little less than an hour to install working slowly by myself. No missing hardware. I like it. The steel parts of the frame are indeed a bit thicker than other awning stuff I’ve bought in the past, which is nice; and the powder coat seems pretty robust so it should hold up for a few seasons. Things to note: the fabric isn’t back-coated so I’m guessing this will be rain resistant but maybe not great for a downpour. Also, the weakest link are the plastic hardware parts. It’s that type of black plastic that to-go containers are made from… kind of flimsy and I’m worried that over time direct sun/UV will make them brittle. Overall though, I like it a lot and I’m happy I bought this particular one.

THis is a brace-type awning, sort of like two long adjustable shower curtains as the support poles, so it does need a roof, eave, etc. to stand up without attaching it to a wall. With that said, it works perfectly under the small rock ledge over our patio. I put it together myself, and it was a simple job. The directions were clear, and the end result will finally allow us to sit outside without the glaring sun that kept us inside until it had gone below the treeline every evening. It's easy to adjust to the right height, and the awning itself is easy to extend or retract. I am making sure to retract it when we aren't outside just to save it from high winds or spring storms.
