    • Easiest smart device I've set up
I have (too) many different brands of smart devices in my home - light bulbs, plugs, vacuum, hubs, etc. - and Govee has shown itself to be one of - if not *the* - easiest to set up. This is the second device I have with Govee, and both had such easy setup. As for the lights themselves -- I only just got them connected and tested them out. The different "modes" that come with it could potentially be seizure-inducing, so just be aware. (You can change the speed with which the lights flicker on these different modes, but most of them are still just very "strobe-like" and I didn't like any of them.) I'm planning to just use them as steady-on lights, however, so the "modes" isn't an issue for me. You can change the brightness level and set schedules. I connected it to my Alexa devices, no problem. I'll have to see as to their durability, especially since I plan to keep them outside. Will update if they turn out not to stand up to the elements. But so far, I have good expectations for the product. ... show more

Lights work great. I bought multiple strands, they can be controlled separately or strung together. I did have one set stop working, 5 months after purchase and after contacting their support team, they asked for a few pics or a video of the problem, asked some simple troubleshooting questions, and sent a new set out to me at no cost. We've installed an above ground pool in our back yard and have been trying to come up with a good lighting setup for it. We've tried solar-powered lights all around, but they're never bright enough. With this string, I can now light up the entire back yard if needed, while most of the time the 10% I have it at is sufficient for 90% of my needs in the back yard. Ca y turn off my lights whit Alexa , I all ready unpaired and paired and nothing. I basically got this lights because i wanted to controle it whit Alexa .

    • Not Bright Only 15 Bulbs in 48 Feet
Besides the lack of illumination I did not like the clips. I hung the lights using the clips on a 3/16" dia. stainless steel cable. They just would not hang straight down as shown in every ad picture. They had a mind of their own going in every direction. Returned them

    • Great light but....
The app isn't easy to figure out, they do email you back if you have a question but again...not easy to figure them out. But once you do they work great.

    • One bulb every 3+ ft is pretty sparse
I bought these to replace a strand with a burned-out bulb. The bulbs are not replaceable so new strand it is. The old "dumb" strand had double the bulbs for the same length of wiring. These are fine, but not nearly are bright as a result.
