I bought this hydrometer and after a little use I found that I really like it. It seems to be accurate and easy to use but what I really like is that it creates a detailed log stored in the app. that you download to your device of choice. The info. updates often and creates an easy to read line graph for temp., humidity, and time. This is a great way to see any trends related to these values increasing or decreasing and their relationship to each other. Also you can set minimum and maximum values and request to be notified if any value falls outside of your chosen parameters. That said, I did have an issue. After about 4 months the screen on my device stopped working correctly. The device, otherwise, still worked and sent info. to the app. but I could no longer read the screen. Being well passed the Amazon return period, I decided to contact Govee customer support via e-mail. I think less then 5 minutes had passed before I received a reply letting me know they were reviewing my claim. They then simply asked me to send a photo displaying the issue. Upon completing that request, they sent me a new hydrometer. They didn't ask for shipping or handling fees or even that I send the original meter back. They just wanted my original purchase info., the above described photograph, and my address so they new were to send the replacement. I had a new meter in my hands within less then a week of my first email to Govee. At first I was a bit concerned when the original screen failed but I understand that its unreasonable to expect a manufacturer to never have a product fail. What's important is that they stand behind their products and work to correct the problem if such an occasion occurs. Govee did so quickly, politely, and painlessly. I'm very happy with the product and very happy with Govee.

This is quite the interesting hydrometer. Its much smaller than I expected (all of these temperature and hydrometers are really small I guess) but despite it size, it packs a punch! The temperature and humidity display updates pretty much on the spot. While most hydrometers update over the course of 10 to 20 seconds, this thing updates even when there is so much as an incredibly slight change to the temperature. This means, if the temperature goes up or down by 0.1 degrees, itll tell you the second it happens. Pretty impressive! Although, I do have to wonder how this will affect battery longevity over time. The best thing about this device is that it is bluetooth, and can connect to your phone via the Govee app, which unlocks this devices true potential. While some features are locked off, needing an account to be created, most of the good stuff doesn't need an account to be accessed and utilized. In the app, you can see how the temperature and humidity trends over the course of the past hour, or the past day, or how it trended over the past week, month, and year! You can see the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity that was reached in that room, including the average temperature and humidity too. Interestingly, this thing can also figure out or be able to read the current dew point. I'm sure this could be important for greenhouses and reptile enclosures, but if youre just putting this in a bedroom or something similar, you probably wont get much use out of it. The other thing its able to read is something called VPD. Im not sure what that is or why its important to be measured, but apparently it has something to do with moisture. I'm sure it could be important to someone! The device can also be manually calibrated in the app as well. Always handy! The device does have some flaws though, most of the flaws stem from the features on the app primarily. One of its advertised features is to be able to alert you when the humidity or temperature goes above or below a certain point set by you, if you choose to enable it. Well, this has happened a couple times in the brief period that I had it and didn't get notified until I opened up the app. Not exactly the best feature if it doesn't even alert you. I'm sure this could potentially be fixed with a software update, however. The other problem is, the bluetooth range. its advertised at being 260 feet. It doesnt feel like it. The device is in my bedroom, and the living room is not far from my bedroom at all, and it has trouble establishing a connection to sync data. Not entirely sure whats going on there but its definitely a problem for me. The final issue I have with it is relatively minor. On the display itself, it shows the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity the device read in that area. I had thought it was a measurement of the maximum and minimum readings over the course of the past 24 hours. It is not. It is the maximum and minimum temperature its recorded of all time. So it never resets. I thought maybe it was a setting, or at least an option in the app but it isnt. Its not a deal breaker, but seeing how hot or cold it got two years ago is not as valuable as being able to see how hot or cold it got a few hours ago, in my opinion. Despite the criticisms, this is still a great thermometer and hydrometer, especially with how fast the display updates. If your looking for any kind of hydrometer, and need it to be bluetooth for whatever, Definitely consider this device!

I've used this Hygrometer for about 8 months and here's what I've found. The Good/Cool 1. You can add additional Govee products (heaters and humidifiers) to read and use that temp to create automatic reactions based on the environment the hygrometers in. Would be great if you have greenhouse or tent that you want to monitor temperature and have the heater or humidifier kick on if it gets to low and automatically shut off when it reach's your specifications. 2. Super easy to connect to your phone using bluetooth I connected it in less than 2 minutes. 3. You can (and should) calibrate the temperature and humidity, which is more important than you might realize. 4. Having the ability to recall and export historical data is great. The less Good 1. The batteries died in it after only 8 months of use. I have replaced the batteries and it's fine, but there was no warning, the previous battery reading the week before said it still had 2 bars remaining and as a result I lost a weeks worth of data because it had actually died and the battery meter was incorrect. 2. CALIBRATE IT AND CHECK IT IF AFTER BATTERY CHANGES - Originally I think it was calibrated pretty close and worked great it always read near the same humidity as the humidifier had said. However, after the battery change it seemed off, the humidifier was kicking on saying that humidity was at 68% but the hygrometer was reading humidity at around 80%. I grabbed a 58% Boveda humidity pack and stuck it in a jar and calibrated the humidity to what it's supposed to be. 3. It doesn't round the humidity % on the display. If my humidity is reading 58.9% on my app the hygrometer displays 58%. I would prefer it to round up on the display after it surpasses the .5%. But that may be just me.
