Wildly impressed with the results this color continues to give me and how GOOD it makes my hair, feel, smell, and look. Cost per value is great too given the cost of most cosmetics. I can usually get away with a cold wash for two to three weeks then end up going warm wash. Color is not as intense after a month, but fades beautifully and stays colorful in generalontha later. For context, I bleach my hair to balayage, leaving about an inch of dark roots maybe once a year then apply the dark green every 4-5 months. I don't think I can go back to L'Oreal after trying Good Dye Young.

I have a lot of white hair around my face that makes me look older than I already am (66). Otherwise I'm salt and pepper with still really dark hair on the back of my head. This dye is just what I needed. It looks natural enough for an older woman like me, but still makes such a difference! It washes out slowly, great plus. And even then it still looks great, so I don't have to recolor all the time. It is unreal how many compliments I get! My husband said not to tell him anymore, because it gets boring, lol.

Absolutely love this product! I’ve been using Overtone but just hadn’t been able to find that vibrant pink I was looking for. Found this one and loved the color so decided to try it out today. I bought an application kit and it took about an hour to do my whole head (just the ends, not all over) and only used about half the bottle. The color is PERFECT! Just the color I was looking for and it smells amazing and makes my hair feel so soft! I’ll be buying more for sure!

I would rather put zero stars. This was so thick it was very hard to apply evenly. When I rinsed it initially it was very uneven between a cool green, a yellow, and a bluish green. After washing it once now my hair is mostly just a very ugly shade of blue. I have had no luck with customer service. I have been dying my hair green for years and have never had such an unpleasant experience with a product. My hair is really healthy and I’ve tried several brands that worked great. Pro tip: just use manic panic. It’s been around forever for good reasons. It applies evenly, fades true to tone every time. The company is consistent, dependable, and reliable. And their ethics align with my core values. I wanted to try something new because this color looked fun but I won’t be making this mistake again.

I've been using this dye for a few years now. I've never tried anything else, so I really have nothing to compare it to in terms of what lasts longer and what has the best color. I have darker brown hair half way down my back. The lightener kit helps out a lot to make the color more vivid, use that every other dye. Sister uses a bottle and a half of the dye on me. This dye has a couple different batches. One of them is a darker purple, which fades into a blue color with each wash. Another one (the newer batch) is more of a brighter pinkish purple, which fades to a more pinker hair... So really, it's only purple for as long as you can withstand not washing your hair. Maybe still a bit purple after the first couple washes. Honestly thought, I kind of like the fading and sporadic color spreadout when I do wash...it's pretty neat, I dunno if it's just me or what but I've been told it's mermaidish? My Sister says she doesn't know why it happens like that. I dunno how easy this is so use, I probably couldn't do it myself, but I guess I could learn, it would probably be a total MESS though...My Sister dyes my hair for me, and it's a pretty painful experience, so I probably should learn to do it myself...but like I said, trying to get all that dye dispersed throughout all my hair and then washing it out in the sink would probably be a messy disaster for me to take on by myself, no way you want to do that in the shower, it's gonna stain... So anyways I like it...it's kind of a pricey thing to get into, but I've been having my hair dyed with it every couple months for the past 2 years. Once you start you don't wanna stop.

Color: Make It Happen
I used this over two weeks ago and it is still bleeding a LOT. The color even dyed the paint on my fingernails purple. The hair color looks good and I've gotten lots of compliments, but I've never used any product that bleed this much after this much time. I don't love the way my hair feels, but that may be due to over bleaching a bit. Bleach or baking soda work fine to get it out of the tub but this feels excessive.

A little backstory as I feel context is important and I strive to be as detailed as possible. I bleached my black permanent box dyed hair with 40vol bleach and a hairdryer, armed with dollar store tinfoil sheets, God, and hubris the size of Europe. Four hours into my bleaching endeavor and significantly more humble, I applied this direct dye to the few spruces of hair left atop my head that will look so slay in a straight ponytail, just like when I was a toddler! And just like when I was a toddler, my critical thinking has been found wanting, but this dye has not. The smell is nothing to write home about but I wasn't sent running for the hills either. The color bled a bit on my forehead when my straight pony inevitably fell limp and laid their lifelessly, I was rather tuckered out from melting my hair off, having a breakdown, slamming two cups of coffee and questioning my life decisions, not in that specific order, so I may not have washed my last sprig standing thoroughly enough. Every semi permanent I've used has bled a bit though in the same spot. Am I a sweaty Betty? Perhaps

Color is true to the box, but it faded extremely fast. We used it on three of us, one went to pink after the first wash, one completely washed out after 3 washes and only one of us still has some pink-ish vibe. Two of us bleached before use, the other didn't and thats the one that washed out fastest. Wish it lasted longer because the box color is amazing!
