Using as a leader hose to connect a soaker hose. I like giraffe products. I have 3 of these leader hoses and they are durable and plyable. I like the flexibility of the hose. I use this to connect my rain barrels together but I have to move down the hose covers to turn the hose, otherwise it starts to twist itself. Just an extra step. Good quality, looks like it will last a long time. Even though it might twist a bit, water still flows.

This hose is very high quality, durable, behaves well in cold or hot weather, and you can run over it with your vehicle with no ill effects. It rarely kinks, and unkinks with ease nearly by itself. The flow rate is much higher than some other hoses. After trying the trendy, metal-wrapped, ‘bionic type’ hoses for a few years, I finally realized they are made of a weak, small diameter hose inside, have a smaller intra-luminal diameter than a typical hose and thereby a lower flow rate, and once they get the slightest ding in the metal exterior or are run over via vehicle, they are on their way to to garbage can a few weeks later. You get what you pay for, and this hose is absolutely awesome. I highly recommend it!

I opened the box 15 minutes ago, unpacked and unrolled the hose, and attached it to my hose reel. Immediately it was leaking from the fitting. I checked that it was on tight, it was. I disconnected it and re-attached it a couple times, thinking that the provided washer inside the fitting wasn't getting a good seal. It continued to leak. I replaced the provided washer with a different one that I had in the garage. Attached the hose and magic, no more leak. When comparing the provided washer to the washer I replaced it with, the provided washer is definitely smaller in diameter, a little thinner, and a firmer plastic material. Not sure if all are contributing factors or it is simply the smaller diameter. Regardless, when I pay this much for a hose, I would expect that something as minor as a good washer to be something they would have provided. Giraffe Tools, I understand cutting costs and saving a penny here or there but you can do better. Something as simple as a good washer would leave your customers with a better experience and more likely to recommend your product.
