This is one of the better options for a level 1 charger. I keep a level 1 in my car in case of emergencies or when a free charging spot opens at work. This charger is light and efficient; Yet feels to be constructed of high quality parts for the price at time of purchase. Simple to use and keep track of your charge. It’s much nicer than the oem level 1 charger that was equipped on my BMW i3. The charger doesn’t get super hot, but with any charger, there is radiant heat. Overall, I would definitely recommend this over the basic oem chargers that come equipped for most EVs. ... show more

I bought this to use as a spare cable and to keep it in the frunk when travelling. I used it once to try out and it works fine. The cable length is about the same as the Tesla brand cable. I was unable to buy a spare charging cable from Tesla because they were out of stock for several months, so I decided on this brand, much cheaper too. It almost caught fire before it stopped working! Photos attached. Good thing it didn’t mess up my car. This charger has a good price point but there is a reason for that. I’ve had two of them fail on me. The first one had water inside and failed. The most recent one which I’ve had for less than 60 days just stopped working. Not worth it. It’s a shame that Amazon only has a 30 day return window on this as I just want my money back at this point. I would look elsewhere. Spend the extra money for a better charger. ... show more

It’s been a year now and this has been amazing for charging our Tesla at home. We drive quite a bit but keep it plugged in overnight and have never had to use a charging station other than the few times we’ve gone out of town.
