Alright, folks, let me tell you about the latest addition to my home gym/torture chamber: the GIBBON GiBoard Balance Board. I saw it and thought, "Hey, that looks like fun! And maybe I'll finally achieve the core strength of a seasoned tightrope walker!" What I got was a beautiful piece of American maple wood that immediately highlighted just how terrible my balance truly is. The first time I stepped on this thing, it was less "graceful balancing act" and more "Bambi on ice, but with more flailing." My ankles wobbled like jelly in a hurricane. I'm pretty sure my dog thought I was having some kind of seizure. The cats, of course, were utterly indifferent, probably plotting how to trip me for their own amusement. But here's the magic: it's fun being terrible at it! And the learning curve, while steep initially, is incredibly rewarding. After a few days of looking like a newborn giraffe, I started to get the hang of it. I can now stand on it for almost a whole minute without grabbing onto the nearest piece of furniture for dear life! This is major progress, people. This board is deceptively simple. No complicated parts, just a beautifully crafted piece of wood with a slackline on top. But it works your core, your legs, your ankles, and your spatial awareness in ways you didn't know were possible. I've started using it while watching TV, much to the amusement of anyone who walks in. My living room has officially become a low-stakes circus. It's also great for standing desk users. Instead of just standing there like a static human, you can subtly (or not so subtly) wobble your way to better balance and a stronger core. Just try not to fall over during your next video call. The build quality is fantastic – it feels sturdy and looks great. It's a piece of workout equipment that you don't feel the need to hide in a closet when guests come over. If you want a challenging, fun, and slightly humbling way to improve your balance and core strength, and you don't mind looking a little silly while you do it, get this board. I did not buy this SlackBoard because it is beautifully and artfully finished, though it is. It is certainly durable and beautifully crafted. As a practitioner of Yoga, I have learned the importance of working on balance, particularly as people age. I bought it to use as an adjunct to Yoga balance poses. In fact, using the SlackBoard makes even the rudimentary balance poses (like the Tree) much more challenging. I can’t say it is easy to use. It is challenging especially at first. There is an app that offers suggested workouts and progressions. It is a great workout. It also feels safe because you aren’t ever more than a few inches away from solid ground. I got the 2 line option to start out, but it is the model that can convert to a one line as one progresses. For beginners, the 2 line option is a wise choice, until you get the hang of it. The SlackBoard is fun and it is best to approach it with a sense of humor, for at the beginning it is also good for one’s humility.

Just got it out of the box and tried it out. The pro comes with the two lines already in place. You really can pull it out of the box and get started. Also, the weight limit is not lying. I am 335 and it holds me on just one or both. Two gives more stability. It's fun too! What they don't mention is there is a free app for the Play store or Apple store where it will have videos and tips, even track your workouts. If you're thinking about buying it, go ahead and do it. Great product and company!

Kids and adults love it. Challenging, but all want to master it. Even the 4 yr old boy enjoys trying to increase his time staying balanced (only a few seconds so far, but not giving up). Good enjoyment for the whole family to gather around and share their attempts and increasing proficiency. lots of laughs for those watching, too. Well made. Got adult size, but kids are ok with it. Good value for the fun alone! recommend 5 stars.

I love this slackboard! It arrived as promised and fully assembled. Ready to use right out of the box, and really fun to use. It seems very durable and takes up little room when not in use. Also doesn't require any set up to use it and not a lot of space, though it can be used outside if interior space is an issue. As a senior citizen I am using this specifically to improve my balance for my safety, but it is also just fun to use and if you are creative you can do a lot with it.
