Very well designed specifically for hitting the back muscles that run along side the spine with the key detail of having a channel that does not put direct pressure on the spine bone itself. The narrowness of it makes it really dig into the muscles unlike a regular wide foam roller that is wider and spreads out the pressure. I still use my regular foam roller but the Chirp hits that really good spot around your spine. The Chirp can crack your back, but I feel like that not made for that. A regular foam roller will do that just fine. This is a pin point tool to target the long mucles that run along the spine. The quality feel pretty good but I can feel it flexing a decent amount. Being made of plastic, albeit, high quality plastic, I can see it will probably break from going thru the stress cycles of flexing from daily use. I plan to find a piece of dense foam to fill the hole. If the engineers ever decide to place a round piece of steel to reinforce the plastic, that would be amazing and also probably double the cost. ^_^

I usually don't write reviews, but I noticed quite a bit of negative ones on this. I own both the 10" and 6" chirp wheels. 6" definitely gets in there a bit more, but the 10" is definitely good if you're not sure. I have used foam rollers and it is not exactly the same, it definitely more concentrated on your spine. Overall, if you're looking for a miracle cure to back pain this won't necessarily be it but it definitely helps. If you use it everyday it can keep you from being in as much pain, or in my case I just use it when my back is extremely tense and I remember I have this bad boy. If it hurts its just because your muscles are really tense, but no worse than getting a massage. The 6" is known to possibly break, but Chirp will basically always replace it if you go to their website. I definitely don't regret my purchase and it costs the same amount as one visit to the chiropractor. I use it as more of an emergency back up for when my back is causing me issues and I can't exactly see the chiropractor at 10 pm.

Update: After working with the warehouse at Chirp, they sent out a new roller! I really missed the relief that this roller brings. I modified it in order to strengthen it. I love a lot of pressure but only weigh 225 mostly muscle. I glued a 6 inch foam roller through the middle and viola! I think this will last now. What can I say, I’m a self therapy enthusiast and have narrowed down the vast array of products available. I was really excited to try this product based on its design and my need to fill a gap in my arsenal. I use to utilize a Chiropractor 2 twice a month for years and it made a huge difference in my backs mobility and headaches. I began to crave the relief that the “cracking” of my spine would bring, more accurately the release of pressure in my vertebrae. This roller from the start did as I anticipated and relieved the vertebrae pressure, YAY! Perfect addition until, it cracked after less then a month of use. 😒😞 I’m not heavy and have quite a lot of experience using products like these, the pinpoint pressure roller you see in the back of the pic is built the same way and I have been using it for years with out a problem. Maybe I got a weak mold or something. As I look a little closer, I’m concerned they went to thin on the plastic. For the price, they could’ve definitely added a little more thickness. I’m going to return this one and maybe I’ll give it another shot. If I do, I really hope this doesn’t happen again. I really wanted to love this roller.

I never considered or felt I needed a Chirp wheel. I used to look at the commercial like yeah right. Well, I go to the chiropractor twice a month, stretch on an inversion chair most nights before bed and use a TENS machine for lower back pain nothing has significantly helped. The help with the pain temporarily but it usually comes back. I decided to give 6” Chirp a chance. I could not believe the cracks my back was making 🫢. I’m hooked, no pain and I slept like a baby. I could feel the pressure releasing from my back. I will say I question the durability especially long term. I am 230 lbs 5’8 and I could hear the wheel struggling at times like if I put to much pressure on it, it would crack. I still would give it 5 stars and buy it again simply for the pain relief.

My husband absolutely loves this Chirp Wheel! He uses it regularly for his back and says it really helps relieve tension and makes his back feel much better. The 6-inch size gives him a good amount of support while allowing him to target areas that feel tight. It’s easy to use and convenient to keep around the house whenever he needs a little extra relief. He’s very happy with it and says it has become a regular part of his routine. Definitely a great purchase for anyone who enjoys using a wheel for back stretching and muscle tension.

The wheel is well-made, strong, and feels secure under my weight during stretches. The medium 10-inch size is perfect—it provides a balance of comfort and deep pressure, effectively targeting stubborn knots and tension areas that traditional stretching never quite reached. I find it incredibly easy to use: just a few slow rolls each morning and evening are enough to relieve stiffness and improve posture. I have chronic back and neck pain, and frequent tightness and this was... an interesting experience, but overall returned it after about a week of using and no noticeable relief. 5' 10" Slim male Maybe I need to try the medium one, but the spine canal didn't do a great job of keeping the wheel straight, so sometimes I would fall off the sides. Also, the wheel seems a bit too wide for my back, it wasn't really getting in between the spine and shoulder blades. and lastly, I just didn't feel that this was worth $45 (bought a used one) looks and seems like something you could make at home after a trip from a hardware store. PVC pipe, and some foam insulation 😶. I will say the smallest one does seem sturdy, its compact size will make it the least likely to break. I did manage to get some cracks from it, and probably 1/3 of the time it was comfortable to use. I don't think that this product is for me, and my situation. But there is an audience out there that seems to like this product. So if you're willing to spend that amount then I'd say give it a try.

I read the reviews, watched product videos and was a bit skeptical but thought this 'might' be worth a shot. Wasn't about to spend over 100$ for a set of wheels but I decided the 6 inch wheel was worth the risk. I figured worst case I would toss it on a garage sale for $10 or gift it to someone. When I received the Chirp 6 inch wheel I tried it out right away. Immediately I got 2 or 3 pops from between my shoulder blades (a spot that is difficult to crack) A few seconds later I got more from my middle back and when I got the wheel down to my lower back I got several more cracks. I've used the wheel every day since I got it and I always get a few cracks out of my back. I have gotten pins and needles a couple times from my lower back after using it which means that the something that was once pinched was no longer pinched. I am on my feet 8-12 hours a day and often suffer lower back pain. Since using this wheel I haven't noticed any lower back pain. - - - The only real bad part is it is rough on your back at first. I read how many people found it too painful to use. My wife tried it for all of 1/2 of a second and refused to even try it. The first day it was painful, the second day it wasn't as painful and with further use either I was accustomed to the pain threshold or it wasn't very painful to use at all anymore. : : : UPDATE : : : Have had this 3 years now and it is still going strong! I am by no means a small person so don't be worried if you are 250 or more
